I live in central MN and I seen a guy the other day with a nice smoky gray polo with the UT logo and I said “I love that shirt, go Vols!!” And he just give me a weird look and never said a word. I don’t think he had a clue what I was talking about.

My nephews went to UVA. My sister was visiting on the West Coast and saw a young guy wearing a UVA cap .....only a "V" on the front. She asked him if he went to UVA. He didn't understand and/or looked confused so she pointed to his cap. He said "No. I just bought this at Goodwill because my name is Valdez"

I’ve never had that experience. I see Power T bumper stickers/vanity plates and UT apparel fairly often up here, and any time I’ve spoken to the person they have some connection to the state or school.
