Did anyone else hear the crowd cheer when Busch took his bow? Who is cheering for this guy? Is he winning Fans over? I still don't like the guy. He is the enemy.:)

I was curious also. For a second I thought a scuffle must have broken out in the pits

I was surprised that Nascar didn't black flag him. He was able to pull it off though, and get a top 20 out of it. Good for him.

I thought he was going to just wreck on purpose so it would freeze the field and no one could pass once the 2nd caution came out because of the Green White checkered. He would have got a better finish.

that's an interesting thought. i would have to think NASCAR wouldn't let him get away with that though.

i know if you cause the wreck you can't get the lucky dog but i'd be curious to know what happens at the end of the race.

That was during the green white checkered. They even played his crew chiefs' radio conv. saying thats ok take 19th at the end of the race, when his tire finally let go.

But when Jr brought out the caution he was fined and they took 25 points away. I'd say they would have done that or even worse, placed him last on the lead lap. That's the more probable scenario

oh, i think we were misunderstanding each other.

i was talking about the difference between when Dale Jr did that at Bristol in 05 and if Sadler had done it today.

would the penalty have been stiffer granted it was at the end of the race or would if have fallen under similar jurisdiction as Dale Jr in 05?

After thinking it over I'm fairly confident in saying that Sadler would have been placed last on the lead lap(32nd?)

Who says they could have proved he did it on purpose anyway? He did have a flat tire. All he had to do was go into the wall? I am sure he thought about it. I'm not sure what the penalty would be. It probably would have been greater, just a guess. Because Nascar is cracking down more on people when they are caught cheating today than a few years ago.

If he'd have kept his mouth shut he wouldn't be in trouble. But if he bragged about doing it and did it then the penalty would more than likely be severe

He really messed me up good. I had 3 in the top 5 before he decided to turn his car into a bowling ball.
