IRS Audits Poorest Families at Five Times the Rate for Everyone Else
A large increase in federal income tax audits targeting the poorest wage earners allowed the Internal Revenue Service to keep overall audit numbers from further declines for Americans as a whole during FY 2021. That resulted in these low-income wage earners with less than $25,000 in total gross receipts being audited at a rate five times higher than for everyone else.

One of the biggest areas of fraud is Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The Obama IRS turned their backs away from EITC fraud but Trump IRS much more aggressively pursued EITC fraud...

IIRC dear leader told the proletariat folks the number "0", that is the dear leader's new definition of the inflation rate..... so why do we need this now?

They do a lot more than that. They investigate any crimes involving the usps. That includes things like fraud
Yes I know. I have a friend that did that job. They walk up to crack houses to deliver packages filled with dope. Now how on earth does that compare to a tax collector?

Mail fraud would seem similar to tax fraud right? They can make make arrests and being armed is usually advised in that case

Ones of the rare times I will use the word 'need'... But why on God's green earth do tax collectors need guns?

You are missing the point. Yes.. postal inspectors have a dangerous job... I agree on that. Tax auditing is now a dangerous job requiring lethal force??????
I'm missing the point? It's not auditing it's an officer doing investigations and likely arrests. It's a specialized position inside the IRS.

Umm, no that would be the USPS' inspectors, yes the post office has it's own police force. The IRS has nothing to do with crimes involving the USPS.

Well, guys, the Inflation Reduction Act has done its job. The President has just announced that inflation for July was zero.

I am not making this up or exaggerating. That idiot got up in front of everyone and said that. What is worse is I think he actually believes it.
Many of his loyal followers believe it as well.

One of the biggest but underreported planks in Democrats’ so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” will dramatically worsen inflation. That’s the reality of the bill’s three-year extension of expanded ObamaCare subsidies for health-insurance premiums.

I’ve dived through the data, and this estimated $30-billion-a-year spending spree will drive up premiums for a constantly growing number of people while adding huge sums to the federal debt — another proven driver of inflation. What’s more, much of this inflation will come from giving taxpayer handouts to Americans nowhere near the poverty line.

The ObamaCare subsidies that the Inflation Reduction Act will extend were just expanded in March of last year, in the White House’s American Rescue Plan. That legislation significantly raised the income cap on ObamaCare subsidies, which had been set at 400% of the federal poverty line, or about $111,000 for a family of four in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. It also increased the benefits that all recipients could receive.

A big part of the inflationary pressure comes from the wealthy beneficiaries of expanded subsidies, who don’t need and shouldn’t receive taxpayer support. Using publicly available data, I found that a family of four (two adults in their 50s and two teenagers) can still get ObamaCare subsidies even if they make up to 20 times the federal poverty level, depending on where they live.

'Inflation Reduction Act' health care handout would worsen inflation

Of course, because those people are far less likely to contest it in court and tie up resources.

Democrats push ahead with Manchin-Schumer spending bill despite lack of knowledge on fiscal implications

"According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), a nonpartisan agency that analyzes the impact of legislation on the budget, it will be "weeks" before an updated analysis can be completed on the bill, officially called the Inflation Reduction Act.

"Given the scope of the amendments to title I, Committee on Finance, CBO expects that it will be a few weeks before we can fully analyze and estimate those budgetary effects, at which point we will provide a complete cost estimate for the legislation," CBO Director Phillip Swagel wrote in a Thursday letter to Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who serves as chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget."
