That's good news. Honestly, while I can appreciate the leadership and experience our injured players bring, I'd rather roll the dice with healthy bodies. WR's with a bum hand, shoulder/colllar bone and another with a leg injury. Gotta think a healthy Matthews and Nimrod might be better options? And as for White as a punt returner, I'm so ready to see Carter get his hands on a ball in space. Might be a mistake fest due to the youth, but right now, we need some playmakers. If Bru, White and Thornton were healthy, it's no contest. But they aren't healthy. Let's roll with the youngsters.Heupel said on Monday and update would be provided today. Said none of them are season ending.
He has 2 catches....The TD was impressive...astonishing though? Both catches were against Kent State... 18 and 17 yards. It shows he can play against Kent State and catch 2 balls.Matthews has already SHOWN that he can make some astonishing catches. Maybe it's time for us to get to see his first big day.
I hear what you are saying, but some of us do follow the team, as closely as we are able to, 12 months of the year. No one can predict the future, but MM has all the tools to be very special. So, yeah, I stand by that.He has 2 catches....The TD was impressive...astonishing though? Both catches were against Kent State... 18 and 17 yards. People jump on hype trains way too fast and the second these kids don't immediately live up to unrealistic expectations try to tear them down. Its kinda embarrassing how many people went 180 on Nico after one game. Lets let these kids play and support them as VOLS not build them up to probably tear them down the second they make a bad play or fail to make a play.
Most people that post on here follow the team 12 months of the year including myself. Tools don't mean anything if they don't get used. Expecting a tool to do something its not capable of is also a bad idea. I am just saying pump the brakes let the kid play and see how it turns out. All last season This was the story with Nico (he should start and replace Milton) and one bad game he's a scrub according to some. Playing at the SEC level takes some time and the ones that do it fast and early are the exceptions to the rule. Playing WR in this offense is a lot compared to what most offenses run. Every receiver basically runs option routes about half the time. In most offenses, option routes are not that common. There is a lot to learn when to choose what stem to take.I hear what you are saying, but some of us do follow the team, as closely as we are able to, 12 months of the year.
