Atheletes are paid in the form of a scholarship no matter how you want to twist it. Is it comparable to what the universities pull in? No, but let's not pretend these student athletes aren't being compensated.

why shouldnt it be comparable> the pros get paid based on how much they ultimately make for thier team. like A-rod. he gets that much money because the team hes playing for makes that much and more off of his efforts. his salary then is proportional to what he makes them. why shouldnt it be the same for college athletes? the game at that level works the same way. if it makes you feel better about this, the school can deduct the amount of the scholarship from their earnings

Good part is stuff like this gets attention away from the brawl....basically it is almost forgotten now....

Also what I thought. Ever since UNC made the news you haven't heard of the brawl on a national level really so thanks Butch Davis!!!!

Where did I say they shouldnt? The fact is though that they are amatuers and not professionals.

What does being an NCAA investigator pay ?

Sounds like they could use a hand with the increase in business and I'm always willing to listen for more $.
