Buffett seems more concerned about his legacy and being interviewed on TV than he does about actually running berkshire at this point.

Don't take this as a knock on WB. But he has fantastic support around him. That is one of the things I admire most about WB. He hires very well.

he also employed cash flow investing better than anyone ever and he has the utmost belief in himself.

To try and compare WB to MF proves a lot to me about your understanding of economics. Things are named after MF because he was brilliant. Things are named after WB because he donates money. WB has quite an ego but I think even he would agree that MF was the best ever.

WB has quite an ego? Really? Odd that he would live in the same house he bought in the 1950's considering he's the wealthiest man alive, if he has that kind of ego isn't it? He's the most unassuming billionaire on the planet.

You said capitalist, you didnt say economist. WB doesn't pretend to be an economist, he's an investor, and he's better at it then anyone who has ever lived. If Warren Buffet says this is a good investment that is an area he knows more about then anyone and has the track record to prove it. If you asked MF he would tell you WB was the greatest investor that ever lived.

greatest cash flow investor. Clearly Sam Walton made much more money on his investment than Buffet has.

Exactly.

And when it comes down to the philosophy of economics I will go with MF any day. So would anyone else with an ounce of brains.

I'm sure he doesnt have a TON of money in the market right now. That could not be it! Also I'm sure he (liek the rest of us) doesnt know that the Congress will finally bail these bums out.

Buffet is donating 85% of his assets to charity. That's not his motivation. He's an ethical person with high moral standards IMO. He wouldn't come out for this simply because it benefits his bottom line. For instance, he's recommended higher taxes on the wealthiest people in this country for years.

because the wealthy don't pay taxes, the high earners do.

I think we are wasting our time.

Only because your not big enough to admit your wrong about Buffet.

You don't know much about his motivations or him in general. He's not on a big ego trip or trying to enrich himself like you think. He's generally very unassuming and philanthropic. But I don't expect you to admit that.
