Interesting lineup idea when healthy

It was easy to see in the last game that boxing out had been a high priority at practice post UNC
I didn’t get to see the GM game so I’m really glad to hear this as that’s been our problem in rebounding. It’s not the height, we’re not boxing out, at least prior to GM.

We would not have needed a super-human scoring effort by Knecht had we played with more defensive intensity and rebounded...Tobe being out also really hurt us as Bacot kept burying Aidoo under the rim.

Look, I'm all for new wrinkles in the offense which allow us to play downhill a bit more so no disagreement there - I just wouldn't radically change our distribution of playing time to do it (which I have seen some posters call for). As far as tweaks go, I would also like to see us run some off ball screens for Knecht in the lane (like we did for Phillips) and post up him up especially when we our shots aren't falling.

I think we're pretty much in agreement. I don't think the issue is the rotations either, although the idea of Santi as 6th man is intriguing. I just want to see some easier shots created earlier in the clock, which would help our rebounding and limit fast break opportunities the other way.

I also think running someone like JJJ to high post here and there could help generate easier shots. He’s versatile enough to score from there, pass in or out from there or drive it.

Absolutely, and he would make a great roll man from there running P&R or Pick & Pop with Knecht, Gainey, Santi, or ZZ.
