on the current coaches. I've heard about there being drama between some of the coaches, and about Dooley getting into the other coaches business. Being that he's head coach, he's allowed to stick his head wherever he wants. Problem is, he is no more qualified than any of our other coaches. We may have coaches on our staff that are more qualified than he is, so I can somewhat understand the frustration. What say ye Vol Nation? Do you agree that if we get a more proven coach that the others would be more likely to fall in line?

You can't fix sal's def. He just isn't good enough. The offense is fine. The defense is costing us a lot of games. The switch to 3-4 now was just dumb.

Boy! you guys just can't let it go, HE IS THE HEAD COACH, it's his and ALL of their jobs if HE doesn't get in there and try to make some changes. MY GOSH! can anyone come up with a thread that has a remote hint of intelligence or did not repeat something 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times? Get off his back and let him win/lose his way, he doesn't give a r@t$ a$$ what any of us think..........and I don't blame him, it's his job to be coach and ours to be F A N..........no more, no less.

Dooley's history with assistant coaches speaks for itself. Dooley supporters say we should keep him because he gives us stability which is laughable considering he has went through assistant coaches like underwear. A few weeks ago Dooley said he may start calling plays and now in week 9 he says he is going to start helping out on the defensive side of the ball. If Dooley knew the first thing about defense he would have been over there along time ago. Truth is Dooley doesn't "coach/teach" anything he just observes those that do. I've never seen a head coach on any level do less during a game then Dooley.

Saban brought Dooley to the Dolphins. so yes, Saban held onto the guy.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure 90+% of the time since the Florida game we've run a 4-3 base. Definitely since the Bama game. They tried the switch and that obviously didn't work. We switched back and now that's not working.

Not for long! Dooley will TE coach for somebody next year, maybe Bama!

I bet he ends up at Florida, FSU or wherever Smart goes and he is position coach. I wouldnt be shocked if he doesnt coach for a while if ever, though, like Battle

Dooley will become an AD at a mid-major type school next, and probably not go back to coaching. His personality is more suited to being the boss of an office than to leading a group of young men on the football field.
