Gets full coverage of the BCSMNCG for the first time this year and it's the first year with a controversial title game and they're suddenly not covering the possible split national title angle.
Or doing anything other than droning on about what a great game it was, for that matter. Which it wasn't.
I proudly watched zero seconds of the ESPN Championship Game. This type of game should have been seen coming a mile away. Alabama had all of the motivation. LSU could never shake the feeling that they already beat that team and put them away weeks ago. Rightfully, they should have. Alabama was playing to try and show that they deserved a shot. The team with the better motivation won. Nothing was decided in my mind besides the fact that ESPN enjoys when they own both teams in the title game that they now own. I guess Vol fans can celebrate the Alabama championship by chanting "S-E-C!" Enjoy it.

Saban should send the ESPN execs a championship ring as well. ESPN was lobbying hard to get Bama in the title game. I don't think I have ever seen ESPN pump up a team more than they did with Bama this year.
Do you guys remember all the talking points from the ESPN talking heads. Bama did not lose in regulation, regardless of what Okie St. does they will not pass Bama, etc. ESPN would then interview Saban at every opportunity to campaign for his team. How many times did you guys see Gundy on ESPN?

As the network with the contract to televise the game, why wouldn't they want the two best teams in the nation to play each other in said game? Why would they lobby for a second rate team like OK St. just because they won their conference? It blows my mind why people can't acknowledge the possibility that the best two teams in college football can come from the same conference.
I agree that the two best team's played yesterday, but perhaps ESPN would have liked a different team other than Bama last night. Ratings were down 16 percent vs last year.
