Interesting that ESPN...

Saban should send the ESPN execs a championship ring as well. ESPN was lobbying hard to get Bama in the title game. I don't think I have ever seen ESPN pump up a team more than they did with Bama this year.

Do you guys remember all the talking points from the ESPN talking heads. Bama did not lose in regulation, regardless of what Okie St. does they will not pass Bama, etc. ESPN would then interview Saban at every opportunity to campaign for his team. How many times did you guys see Gundy on ESPN?

ESPN loves us. Roll Tide

... Along with LSU whom they were .500 against.

That could have/should have beat them stuff is weak. They lost. LSU beat Bama as many times as Bama beat LSU this season.

and Green Bay didn't win their division last year yet were crowned the best team in the NFL. By any measure, Bama was the 2nd best team in the nation prior to the bowls and thus earned their shot at the NC.

... And somehow earned a bye week for losing to LSU to begin with.

Again, the NFL analogies don't work because at no point do polls or any sort of subjectivity come into play. The whole post season is set exclusively by on the field results.
