I coached a REALLY BAD baseball team. We had a little talent, but it was young, undeveloped, and not physically strong. Blowouts rolled right off of them like nothing. Very frustrating.

They grew up and started winning district championships. I imagine the losses sting a little more when the expectation changes from losing to winning.

Pride and expectations. The O line last year expected to be drafted. I am not saying their heart wasn't in it, but they under preformed. This team is hungry. I like their make up. I do think with each passing game we will get better.

Another thing important to mention: Butch recruits winners.

Look at how many of his recruits were either on State Championship winning teams, or high winning teams. He recruits boys who don't know what it's like to lose, so when they do, they sure don't wanna do it again.

That's a critical piece right there. Recruit players that to them, winning is the only option.
