Interesting update on Hubbs/Nichols...

on commercial appeal memphis fans think they will get most all of the players they want and that hubbs is either duke or Gators and same wit nichols that none will go to the vols and that stokes is gone after this year so no reason that any memphis kids should go to UT and that people in east tennessee think we are so much better than memphis.memphis thinks they will get king .johnson and williams and one more memphis kid along with texas player keith frazier.

Wow, this thread has veered off into the crapper. Maybe Freak can come up with a button that people can push and then they wouldn't see the posts of other people that really really really really bothered them. He could call it "ignore" and all would rejoice. :loco:
Me sees what you did there and me likes it. You have powderful sarcasm in you.

Did you just spend some time reading to comments section of the CA website?

You'll never ever get that time back.

Memphis will probably get those guys, minus King but I don't think they go to Florida. How much pull does their AAU squad have? I know Miller played for Florida and all that but is that what people hang their hat on when they say Florida locks because of the AAU ties?

I don't see the M33M connection having too much pull on these kids. I haven't heard Hubbs strongly connected Florida once so that would put that to bed. Nichols had Florida in his top 3 well before he suited up for M33M this year as well, so doesn't seem that was a factor.

Gary Parrish reported yesterday that a high major D1 coach(recruiting both Nichols & Hubbs) told him its down to Tennessee and one other school for Nichols and hubbs services. He wouldn't say what the other school was, but if I had to guess I'd say duke and Florida.

Memphis is not going to get Nichols or hubbs, also won't pull Crawford, so that leaves the other 3(jw3, king and Johnson). Gut tells me they don't get jw3, and I feel there's a decent chance they land both king and Johnson, but that'd be it from Memphis IMO. They're not, "taking the guys they want", as that comment above referenced.

As long as its not stokes lol

Family member of mine had a conversation with CCM when he was making an appearance in the Tri-Cities a couple weeks ago. He said it'd be a shame to see Stokes go next year, and CCM hinted that Stokes should be so good that he'd be a high draft pick and would draw more recruits to Tennessee, so it might not be such a bad thing. TIFWIW

Seems like Cuonzo is everywhere these two are. He was in Miami for a M33M clinic this week and he's also in Milwaukee for a tournament they'll be playing in this weekend per VQ. If UT doesn't land them you can't blame him for not trying.

then it must be true

No I wouldn't say that either, there's some I believe more than others on that site. When certain people with a good track record start saying it that's when I pay attention.

Gailee is one of those, and he's been giving some positive news lately on the hubbs/Nichols front.
