You ever had a concussion? Ever been a soldier who has the mindset of "shut up and ruck up" over what they might consider minor injuries at the time? Ever put your life in the hands of military medical folks who aren't specifically trained to look at concussions until the symptoms are so evident they have to deal with it?
Concussion symptoms sometimes won't manifest for days after an event. The President made the announcement less than 24 hours after the attack. A lot of Soldiers would work through what they might think are minor injuries or "I just got shook up" because of an ingrained sense of duty and avoiding the perception they are sandbagging the unit as a whole. Such injuries might not have even been reported for some time afterwards and even then, military medicine isn't the best at diagnosing the problems and toss Motrin at it first and foremost. Furthermore, a lot of those people on that base are Special Operations Forces who work through and deal with pain each and every day because they know the mission has to get done and a little pain isn't going to deter them.
Before you go calling out the President for wrongdoings, you might want to consider and know the source of such people that were injured and whether or not they would actually report such injuries or get treated until way later. Combat ain't a football game where they take your helmet and let you watch from the sidelines with a towel over your head. Soldiers will work through such things until the job is done.
If you're referring to the guy I replied to, he's the kind that likes to make crap up and ignore counter arguments when posed to him. The internet is full of ignorant people who like to whine and gripe without actually being smart enough to know all the facts or think things thru. They'd rather be told how to think instead of actually doing any thinking for themselves. When someone actually brings a valid counter, they ignore it and continue to whine. I see a lot of that around this area of Vol Nation specifically. I only replied to this thread because I've been there, done that and got the t-shirt.Huff is a kneeler
At least two people have offered explanations to argue your point.
"Concussion like" symptoms is not concussion per se. And those symptoms can take a while to manifest.
I didnt develop a sensitivity to light or sound for a couple days. Which makes sense with the potential injury here of brain swelling.
And they can just be extra careful. Concussions are nothing to play around with so we are now getting guys checked out when there were no injuries, reported, at the time.
You cant like he should be omniscient.

I'll leave you guys to argue with the ignorant here and prepare to go find a boar. The wife wants to make venison and boar chili tomorrow and guess who gets to go shoot a wild boar on this cold Oklahoma morning?
So you were concussed but didn't consider yourself "injured" until you specifically felt symptoms of concussion? I was concussed once. I knew I had hurt myself right away but didn't know it was a concussion until i felt nauseated a few hours later. If they fkn hurt their heads, it happened at the time of the attack.
Notice that I never said the admin was lying. I just laughed at the idea that they got facts wrong for the 5,573rd time. It could be a perfectly innocent and accidental misleading of the public, but who is surprised anymore when it happens? When you're wrong all the time, you get **** for it even when it might not be your fault.
He clearly lied about embassies being under threat and y'all don't seem to care about that, so I'm not surprised at the response to this.
So, 2 questions:So you were concussed but didn't consider yourself "injured" until you specifically felt symptoms of concussion? I was concussed once. No the symptoms got worse over time. The sensitivity was the last to show up that I remember. So you were concussed but didn't consider yourself "injured" until you specifically felt symptoms of concussion? I was concussed once.
