......about Dominique Booth decommitting so suddenly? Or is this a mutual agreement with Malone possibly committing? Just want to know what the rest of Volnation thinks. Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving!!! Go Vols!!!

He wasn't able to enroll early so he is finding a school that will let him. That's what I heard anyways.

Is anyone aware that there is a Booth thread in the recruiting section where they can get the facts about the situation?

He said the agreement from the first of the year was that he could enroll early and then was told he could not. I don`t know why he could not enroll early but I did read somewhere a few days ago about a recruit that was not committed to UT that could not enroll early because the SEC would not accept one of his classes. Don`t know if this is why Booth could not but it I would like to know the reason.

Does make you wonder if he was really that important to Tennessee if there were 14 others ahead of him. If Butch really wanted him he would have made room. Maybe making room for Malone and he was not needed. JMO

on roster WR (from an OCI post):
Carter
Young
Howard
Blanc
Johnson
North
Croom (RS SO)
Smith
Harris
Bowles (RS SO)
Jenkins (RS FR)

incoming recruits:
Neiko Creamer
Lavon Pearson (JUCO)
Vic Wharton
With the possibility of Malone

and Evan Berry may get a look at WR

We've gotten commits every Mon for A month after we lost a game. We finally win one and we get a Decommit! What's up with that? That's 4 WR decommits now. Sure hope we get Malone!

I would hope VN would be encouraged that we are having to tell 4 star kids to look elsewhere instead of scrambling to fill spots.

* Other than North and Croom, if I was a 6'0/200lb 4 star WR, I wouldn't be worried by the list above.

Dominique Booth decommits. “i was supposed to start school early and that was the deal since last january and i just found out a few weeks ago i can’t go early to tennessee,” booth said. Booth notified tennessee head coach butch jones of his plans. “tennessee still wants me to sign in february,” booth recapped."
Did we go back on our word because of the limited # of EE's?

Pearson is a JUCO and ranked higher by any/all recruiting services.

Malone, if he comes in, is ranked higher by all recruiting services.

UT also has highly ranked WR Preston Williams in the 2015 class.

Getting time ahead of North/Croom/Pearson isn't likely. That's also not adding in Howard/Johnson/Young to the mix.

Once they're all gone you still have Malone(hypothetically)/Williams to contend with.

Not to mention, UT has far more pressing needs than more 4* WRs that will just sit on the bench.

IDK that I would say we did go back on our word. He was still able to be a part of the class just couldn't EE at this point.

a 5-7 year, a so so offensive coordinator, a 4th string freshman QB who struggled throwing the ball downfield (in all fairness, he didnt have much to work with WR wise).

I am just hoping that CBJ has the ability to close this class.
