He said the agreement from the first of the year was that he could enroll early and then was told he could not. I don`t know why he could not enroll early but I did read somewhere a few days ago about a recruit that was not committed to UT that could not enroll early because the SEC would not accept one of his classes. Don`t know if this is why Booth could not but it I would like to know the reason.

That was highly touted JUCO wideout Eric Lauderdale. According to PassedOutAwake's latest weekly recruiting update (http://www.volnation.com/forum/tenn...0323-weekly-recruiting-update-11-25-12-a.html), Lauderdale said that "I’ll probably take a few more official visits. I’ll probably take one to Tennessee, one to Arizona State and one to Washington, but I don’t have any of those set up. I was going to enroll in January but the SEC isn’t taking one of my classes so I’m going to enroll in May now.” GB 247

He wasn't able to enroll early so he is finding a school that will let him. That's what I heard anyways.

That's the way I understood it. He's looking but he could possibly enroll in February if he still wanted to come and we had room.

Pearson is a JUCO and ranked higher by any/all recruiting services.

Malone, if he comes in, is ranked higher by all recruiting services.

UT also has highly ranked WR Preston Williams in the 2015 class.

Getting time ahead of North/Croom/Pearson isn't likely. That's also not adding in Howard/Johnson/Young to the mix.

Once they're all gone you still have Malone(hypothetically)/Williams to contend with.

Not to mention, UT has far more pressing needs than more 4* WRs that will just sit on the bench.

North and Pearson maybe but I don't see anybody that can really play having a hard time beating Crooms out.

We have over our limit of 30 recruits. We are going to need more kids to decommit for us to sign more top notch players. There are still possibilities of signing players like Malone, Adoree Jackson, Garrett and some stud D Linemen that we need to make room for. I know there is talk about Butch finding some loopholes to sign more than 30, but we still need more decommits to make the numbers. I am not getting upset when more recruits announce they are looking elsewhere.

Nope...I think he realized with the names coming in he was going to see limited time or possibly be switched to the DB/Safety role.
