Hope you don't mind the post. Just wanted some neutral opinions. I know you guys hate Bama like we hate Auburn. And I use hate in the most endearing way....you know what I mean.

The Barn has just accepted the 3rd kid kicked out of another SEC school in (Trigga) Tray Matthews. There may be others that I'm not remembering. The other two were Cam Newton (UF -theft, etc) and Nick Marshall (UGA- locker room theft, etc).

I was glad to see Marshall and "Tip Drill" Matthews go, but could Awbarn seem any sleazier, after all of their other infractions, in taking other SEC school's rejects? Would you all feel the same way if it were Bama.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads who stayed and got the job done. Maybe that's the root of this issue.

Thanks for letting me vent on your board.

Yes

They have been caught cheating more than Bama

Most UT fans just focus all their hate on Bama since its our biggest rival

I can understand how you might feel that way being an UGA fan... Being a Vol fan who doesn't necessarily hate the Barn, I see it a little differently. If you were in the same state as Alabama, what would you do? Probably anything and everything you could to try to get an edge on Bammer... Maybe I feel like that because they are an ally of ours in a sense... (The enemy of my enemy is my friend kinda thing)
Maybe I feel that way because it hasn't happened to us yet. (Barn taking a reject of ours.)

The dirtiest school in the SEC IMO IS Bama. They are just the very best at not getting caught...

I hate Bama but have to agree that Auburn is the program that is the most dirty. All have issues but this has been going on since Pat Dye and probably before. Lately, they have become so brazen with it due to getting away with Cam. They just got the guy back who left them to go into NCAA enforcement. He protected them regardless if he was working for them or the NCAA. He still has his contacts there and they will continue to do what they have done except for the time Bowden was there. Once the talent left and no new talent was coming in due to Bowden stopping the cheating, they started losing and it is what got Bowden fired. The losses and not playing the money game. I will always hate Bama but Auburn is just viewed with disgust because the NCAA allows it. Realistic Auburn fans know it is true, and they know Cam's dad was paid. The NCAA even said it was due to Cam did not know. Such crap.

I'm sorry, but I do not for a second believe that the NCAA said that. You're telling me that the NCAA "said" publicly that "yes, we have proof that Cam's dad was paid. However, since Cam didn't know anything about it, he's off the hook and so is the University of Auburn."?????

Cam told an MSU coach that "the money's too much" at AU. Could your dad, whom you were really close to, come into $180,000 without your knowledge. Would you not detect a slight lifestyle change? Do you think Cam got none of the cash? Let's get real here.

Cam got paid. He wanted to got to Miss St. because Mullen was there and had promised him the world. Mullen knew about Cam's abilities because they were at UF at the same time. He was all ready to commit when Auburn boosters approached his father with nearly 200k in return for Cam to commit. The rest is history.

In a sense, if the Nat'l Title only cost them 180,000 bucks then I'd say it was worth it, even though it was dirty as h3ll.

The bottom line is that the auburn fans don't care what we think. They just want to win like every fan base in the SEC, even if it means taking risks and possibly looking the other way.

I have no hard feelings towards some of the guys who get dismissed from the program. I wish them luck and hopefully the kind of success that Newton had and get paid in the NFL.

I certainly want UGA to win. But not by building the reputation that AU has for cheating. I'm sure all schools bend the rules. But it's institutional at AU and, IMHO, they take it to a level that other programs don't come close to.

Highly talented people are going to. Get second chances. Perhaps St. Richt should stop recruiting players with questionable character. Is that what you want?

Cheating is defined by the rules set by NCAA yet they hardly enforce their own rules and are very selective in their punishments. The whole system is screwed up and it is very obvious that some programs are taking advantage of it.

Every program was recruiting these knuckle heads, even UT. I know you want to think otherwise but we all recruit the same players.

Then UGA fans should stop their whining when one of these knuckleheads get a second chance elsewhere.

Before NC game, they said that Cam would be allowed to play because he had no knowledge of what his dad had been trying to negotiate. So, did they say paid? NO! But, they knew he had been and basically said if player doesn't know about what his parents do then it will not affect his eligibility.

Who is whining? I'm thrilled that CMR is flushing the toilet, and the drain line is running to AU. I just think the Alabama schools are going to lead to the eventual ruin of CFB by their institutional cheating. More AU than Bama recently. Student-athletes should be just that. Did Cam Newton ever set foot in a classroom? He was merely a hired gun. Hurts all of CFB.

Do you really want to talk about recruiting players with questionable character? Want to bring up arrest records of football and basketball players in K'ville? They all come from the same pool. It's just that K'ville and Athens police make arrests rather than calling position coaches in the middle of the night.

I am not denying you have to recruit those type of players and everyone does. I am also not complaining about the other schools giving them a second chance. As you are.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.
