Is Auburn the dirtiest.......

I agree that Auburn seems to be the most "win at all cost" athletic dept...but Alabama is not far behind. As far as fans are concerned, it is hilarious how they attacked UT over the Bruce Pearl and Lane Kiffin scandals but will now defend those two when criticized for hiring them, as if their own mothers had just been insulted....

You nailed it. AU and Bama continue to push each other to new sleaze depths. It'll get worse until the NCAA finally does something. But they'll be right back at it soon, unless one gets slapped hard. AU was facing the death penalty just a short while ago, and now they're right back at it. It's almost funny to watch.

I blame it on the SEC headquarters being in Birmingham, right in their (AU & UA) back pockets.... i mean yard.... no I meant pockets.

Then UGA fans should stop their whining when one of these knuckleheads get a second chance elsewhere.

Do yourself a favor and revisit the Cam Clear threads, I'm sure you remember him. You may want to read up if you missed it, you can get back to me once you're done.

When was Auburn facing the death penalty?

Bama and Auburn are the top two in the SEC....not sure which is the worst. I think Bama is better at hiding it.

My vote for number three might be good ole Mississippi State.

I would like to add that over the years, Mark Richt has dismissed more starters or at least significant contributors than any other SEC coach...He does impress me as someone who keeps a tight reign over his team and when discipline doesn't work he draws a line in the sand like Majors used to do...There was not another coach in the SEC in the 1980's that would have kicked their leading rusher off the team (Reggie Cobb) the week of their biggest game of the season (Alabama) while his team was undefeated and ranked in the top 5 as Majors did in '89 but I think Richt would probably do the same thing now if faced with the same decision. Sorry for saying nice things about a rival but I do respect Richt....Saban only dismisses players when they are facing felony charges and hard time in prison....Urban Meyer doesn't dismiss players, period.

The bottom line is that the auburn fans don't care what we think. They just want to win like every fan base in the SEC, even if it means taking risks and possibly looking the other way.

I have no hard feelings towards some of the guys who get dismissed from the program. I wish them luck and hopefully the kind of success that Newton had and get paid in the NFL.

Of course they don't! They want to delusionally think their team is accomplishing something on its own merits. It's as if they live vicariously through their accomplishments. So of course they are not going to admit what everyone already knows. Not to mention, it has to burn most Auburn and Alabama fans to know that no one in their right mind would play in that 3rd world state unless someone was paying them big money to stay. Basically, it's all that they have.

We have cookouts and send girls to a high school game. Auburn fixes grades and builds churches to get their players. Big difference.

UGADawg4Life, do you mean the dirtiest programs currently or historically (i.e. all-time)? In either event, Auburn and Alabama certainly are serious contenders for top prize on this Wall of Infamy. According to this source (College Football (FBS) and NCAA Probation » FootballGeography.com), however, the following programs are historically the most penalized:

1 Southern Methodist (TX) 17 seasons 7 times (Bowl Bans: 1964-65, 1974-75, 1981, 1985-86, 1987-88)
2 Southern California 15 seasons 6 times (Bowl Bans: 1956, 1959, 1982-83, 2010-11)
3 Auburn (AL) 11 seasons 4 times (Bowl Bans: 1956-57, 1958-60, 1979-80, 1993-94)
4t Alabama 10 seasons 3 times (Bowl Bans: 1995, 2002-2003)
4t Michigan St. 10 seasons 3 times (Bowl Bans: 1976-78)
4t Oklahoma 10 seasons 5 times (Bowl Bans: 1960, 1973-74, 1989-90)

If you want to use bowl bans as an artificial measure of the seriousness of infractions, SMU, Auburn, and USC would be, in that order, the dirtiest programs in college football history.

It is "cheating" to accept the transfer of a player who was removed from his prior team?

Nick Marshall hasn't gotten into one lick of trouble at Auburn. Neither did Cam Newton. If you want to cry because Saint Richt cant keep anyone on his team from performing illegal activities left and right then go right ahead, we'll gladly take those players and mold them into real members of society. If Matthews makes a mistake he will be dismissed (see: Michael Dyer at Arkansas State). How delusional are you UGA fans? You realize where that fraud good-boy Richt came from, right? Bobby Bowden's FSU ****-show. He learned real well how to pull off the Jesus-preaching good-boy act...from the guy who sold his soul to the Devil in order to compete with Miami who was cleaning his clock.

Talk about delusional, 'mold them into real members of society'

What happened with the thugs who were locked up for armed robbery? They signed with Auburn out of high school.

I'm all for guys getting chances and guys taking full advantage of it. To pretend like Auburn is the place to go if you don't want to get in trouble is idiotic.

Yeah, I guess nothing says turning boys into men like synthetic weed and armed robbery. Our collective IQ drops everytime you post.

Yes, Auburn and Alabama are without question the dirtiest programs in the SEC.

They are past the point of denying it, they rationalize it.

Show me a post on a rival site where a Vol fan accused Texas A&M cheaters for taking Cam Clear.

There was a lot of anger at Cam and Dooley, but no one was calling A&M cheaters.

To honest though he has been at it the longest to build up the most dismissed player record. I agree with your point though. Too many teams do let things slide that would otherwise get them thrown in jail

Like Aaron Hernandez under CUMs watch at Florida.
