Is Auburn the most unlikable team in the country?

If Pearl wanted to stop it he would, but he feels that’s his team’s MOJO. They are hard to pull for because of their antics and they take on the personality of their coach. But, they are good and will be a tough out. We are the one team that can get under their skin because of the way we defend and our toughness of not backing down. Without the loose ball scramble 3, we beat them at their own game.

Dude, you are no AU fan if any of this is true. You’re just an angry old man.
I love these braindead type responses. An AU fan doesn't support the thug & disingenuous behavior of our players so that person's not a real fan. <eyeroll> You're the type of fan that only cares about winning regardless of how it's done. The Creed is meaningless to you although I'm sure you pretend it is.

We all have a free will to choose to rebel or be respectable. It can be a sad, long, heartbreaking road. Just recently visited with a friend who had to bury a son at 39 years old. By every metric they are an incredible family. Other children are well respected citizens....the one that died just never wanted to live responsibly..... and it cost him his life.
Yep. Had the exact same thing happen with some friends with a 33 year old son. Drug overdose. No rhyme or reason to it.

This is delicious
All trolls to the Ignore list. No exceptions. If you can’t see that Baker-Mazzara and Broome are over the top, you have no clue. Obviously don’t care about winning with class. It’s a problem I see with the younger generation these days. It’s all about the show and the antics.

Oh I’d hate them if they weren’t Tigers. But it makes it fun when they are. They are also good dudes off the court FWIW, they just see themselves as entertainers on the court and milk it a bit

Same ole type of responses I always see. Two posts down you pretty much insinuate you wouldn't support that kind of behavior but since they're our guys they get a pass. lol
They are just playing a game. It’s painful to watch when your opponents act like that and you lose to them but it’s not like they are out there raping and pillaging.

I hated Marshall Henderson but man it would have been fun if he played for AU

I prefer to win with class. Celebrating and having a good time are fine, faking injuries is not. Again, there's no need for it b/c they're already winning with talent.

Bruce encourages unsportsmanlike behavior, imo. He makes everything about himself. Baker Mazarra hasn’t learned anything from getting ejected in the NCAA tourney last year. His behavior is worse this year. What do you expect from a team who has two guys get in a fight on an airline flight? That incident told me everything I needed to know about that team.

Auburn's just straight up cocky and acting like they've already won the championship. The mugging, the jawing, the posing, they think they're the stars of the show.

I bet they're already holding up the trophy in their minds. And you know what they say about pride ...

No..........The answer is always Duke.

This came to mind in a split second... and then I collected my thoughts and came to my senses... I don't like bama in anything. But, Auburn, this year, and Duke, every year, right up there in men's basketball

I've said it elsewhere on here recently, my thoughts/feelings on CBM. Don't care for him. Stud talent for the team, but I almost would rather he not even be on the team with his immature antics. His actions last night were pathetic.

Johni Broome...eh, I can understand the hate for him, though I don't find him too terrible.

I won't stand for the Cardwell slander though lol Arguably one of my favorite Auburn players. Genuinely good player and person on/off the court. Showboaty, but in the best way; it's not so much a "hey look at me," but more for the purpose getting the fans more hyped and involved. Guy loves Auburn, loves the people, and loves his teammates. Very social and active with them all off of the court. As a Christian, I remember growing a lot admiration reading his entries during their trip to Israel several summers ago, and how he helped several of his teammates get baptized in the Jordan River. Is he one of the best to play the game at Auburn? Of course not, not even really that close. Following one particular meme/poll thing I've seen lately, he fits squarely in the "Most loved/Average player" spot. Love him though, and will be sad once he's out after this season.
CBM is a grade A punk. Worst in the SEC since Marshall Henderson, probably.

Broome is mouthy goon, too, but backs it up.

Cardwell is the Auburn version of Admiral Schofield. I have little issue with him, in general.

I used to like and pull for Auburn. I‘ve been a season ticket holder since buzz Peterson days. Loved it when Pearl came and brought us back. Not going to rehash all that went down with that. My question is about this year. He has 3 of the biggest punks on his team. Watching last night against Oklahoma. Cardwell never makes a shot or blocks a shot or does anything without posing and finding the cameras and such. Broome didn’t used to act that way but now he does the same stuff. Baker-Mazarra is the worst of all. He runs his mouth constantly the entire game. Every time he gets fouled he goes down and acts like he’s dying. It’s like watching European soccer. Last night was a perfect example. He had about 4 guys on Oklahoma’s team ready to punch him. After his 3rd or 4th flop as they were running down court with him jabbering in a guy‘s ear, the guy gave him a forearm to the chest. He looked around and when he saw a ref looking he layed down and rolled around on the floor. Comical. They reviewed it and didn’t even call a foul on the guy because the contact was so small. The best part, he got called for a foul a few minutes later and kept running his mouth until the other guy came at him. He laughed and got a technical which fouled him out with about 12 minutes to go. He still stood up and never shut up the whole game. The referees really need to control all the taunting they do. I guess when you have a coach that stands and screams at officials from tipoff to final buzzer it rubs off on you. I just don’t know how anyone could get behind that kind of behavior.
Say what you want about CBM and broome, but personally I love Cardwell. He never taunts the other team much, he’s just kinda goofy. But I agree completely on the other 2. Broome complains way too much and CBM is always trying to get an Oscar.
