Is flex pricing a good thing?

It's a good thing. And the ones they don't sell by the end of the first quarter should be donated to local Boys Club, etc to let these kids experience Tennessee football. And who knows, there might be a future athlete or season ticket holder in that bunch of kids.

I like this idea as well......work with community organizations, give tickets to those kids, and the organization could raise a little pocket money for them at the game. My lodge has done similar things for a kids home here. Besides those kids can then be VFL for Tennessee, you never know what they may grow up to become and how they may pay it forward.

I'm curious. Would students be willing to forego their current allotted seats in AA-FF and down in E at $15 per pop for free tickets in the rows above 16 in sections QQ thru GG? I think the current seating arrangement is a good deal for the students, personally.

Of course not. They want the best seats in the stadium and want to whine when they don't get them for free. $10 or $15 for those seats is a ridiculous steal compared to the actual going rate for sideline seats. Another option would be simply raising the activities fee by a small amount, (maybe $20 a person) giving that cut to the AD and then handing out "free" tickets. That way students wouldn't be forced to use their out of pocket cash each week to go to the game. However, I'm sure people who don't go to the games would bemoan the increased activities fee as unfair.

Looking like the Flex pricing must be a hit. I have been looking around on UTTix.com and vast majority of $20 seats are gone.
