Is Glenn Beck the American Dream?

What the heck are you talking about?

Whether one likes, dislikes or hates Beck he does provide evidence of the AD being alive and well since he worked hard and it has payed off for him.

I hate to speak for PJ but that seems to be what he was saying.

pretty much all I said and then it went downhill fast

I'm leaving before it hits the bottom

just wait, either gibbs will be along shortly with one of his pedantic, inane ramblings about "the real world", "enlightenment", and "800lb. gorillas", or gsvol will chime in with a completely off-topic rant about Obama's muslim roots complete with cute photoshopped images.

Here's the deal with Beck as I see it.

Beck brings to light some serious issues that do need to be looked at. There are crazy things going on, on both sides of the party, that are kept under wraps and need to be exposed sometimes. Becks problem is he is beginning to get very boring as its him talking the whole show. He needs a different format. I believe bith parties have some serious issues. Each has an agenda. I believe Beck is the agenda exposing person for Fox when it comes to the liberals. I also am all for exposing idiot Republican ideas.

The mistake alot of people have about my party is that we are racist or just hate liberals. What you don't understand is that we hate all of you. Right, left, center. WE want you all out and to basically start from scratch with all new leaders that don't have an agenda other than what's best for America.

Sorry pj. I was just mad about the game.

so, you're being all butthurt about a basketball game is reason enough for you to start a silly thread and to pick a fight with a mod?

Albert Haynesworth needs anger management counseling as well.

he's just a simple guy looking out for the folks.

he needs to be pimp-slapped every time he says that

his rants on the oil companies during bush's presidency were borderline retard level economic understanding. for a guy who is pretty bright in general, it's amazing to me that he's so clueless about supply and demand and other basic economic principles.

he doesn't strike me as bright like other decent pundits do.

He and Bill O'Reilly are intelligent people, but not their on-air personalities.

Yes, because MSNBC sets the bar so much higher with their constant Tea Bagging jokes.

me being a mod has nothing to do with anything so you should just drop that. His views also have nothing to do with the question you posed in the thread title
The only thing it has anything to do with is having some sick sense of obligation to read as much of VN as we can while letting rampant idiocy ride to a degree, because it constitutes the "opinions" of many.

not brilliant certainly, but not an idiot either.
Essentially, he's just one of the folks.

Only Bill DOES IT LIVE.

Why is MSNBC brought up anytime I make a reference to Fox? I have said it 100 times, I don't watch any of them.

if you don't watch FNC, how do you know what O'Reilly's and Beck's on-air personalities are like?

I've caught enough of all channels and seen plenty of their segments to get an idea. Plus testimony by David Silverman in which he says Bill O'Reilly is intelligent off camera, but becomes a babbling buffoon when the light goes on.

I like Beck for entertainment. You know he doesn't believe in what he is saying, but he sells it to his audience. I've only watched him a few times, but thought he was so over the top it was funny.
