He was absolutely not trying. He gave such a pathetic effort on pretty much every tackle all night. Continued to allow people to pick up extra yards. The only thing he excelled at was talking trash after giving up a big play. He certainly got his practice in last night at that, given that he gave up about 11-12 big plays.I will say that although he played bad, he was actually trying. Flowers, McDonald, and McCullough seemed to have mailed it in last night. Mitchell too....
Exactly. I saw jogging and half baked attempts at tackles immediately followed by taunting and jawing. Awful performance and added insult to injury. I watched the game with a family member. A Buckeye fan and the whole game he was asking who this guy that won't quit yapping after first downs was. I was embarrassed for Hadden. He was absolutely not trying. Liked his moxie? Yeah, gotta admire getting burnt all night long, giving up big plays and first downs and then running his mouth like he accomplished something. Real great look! No, he ain't talkin smack, his girl is consoling, though. As for you Vols-player haters, I liked his moxie. Kept getting knocked down so to speak, but bounced up still swinging. He was Tex Cobb-ing, baby!

One thing about our secondary that gets me is if you watch replays of the games this year. There are several guys who seem to be waiting for someone else to make the first hit. We need bead hunters like back in the day. We need safeties like Deon Grant. We need corners that are talked about like the SC corners last night. Basically we need to trade these pintos in for Mustangs. Go hit someone and put the fear of another hit in their head. For a few years now we have guys running like they are in mud. If its the coaches get rid of them. If its the scheme change it. If its the players pay more. But overall this weak ass defense.
