..still talking smack this morning?
asking for a friend

No, he ain't talkin smack, his girl is consoling, though. As for you Vols-player haters, I liked his moxie. Kept getting knocked down so to speak, but bounced up still swinging. He was Tex Cobb-ing, baby!

I will say that although he played bad, he was actually trying. Flowers, McDonald, and McCullough seemed to have mailed it in last night. Mitchell too....
He was absolutely not trying. He gave such a pathetic effort on pretty much every tackle all night. Continued to allow people to pick up extra yards. The only thing he excelled at was talking trash after giving up a big play. He certainly got his practice in last night at that, given that he gave up about 11-12 big plays.

Exactly. I saw jogging and half baked attempts at tackles immediately followed by taunting and jawing. Awful performance and added insult to injury. I watched the game with a family member. A Buckeye fan and the whole game he was asking who this guy that won't quit yapping after first downs was. I was embarrassed for Hadden.

Liked his moxie? Yeah, gotta admire getting burnt all night long, giving up big plays and first downs and then running his mouth like he accomplished something. Real great look!

One thing about our secondary that gets me is if you watch replays of the games this year. There are several guys who seem to be waiting for someone else to make the first hit. We need head hunters like back in the day. We need safeties like Deon Grant. We need corners that are talked about like the SC corners last night. Basically we need to trade these pintos in for Mustangs. Go hit someone and put the fear of another hit in their head. For a few years now we have guys running like they are in mud. If its the coaches get rid of them. If its the scheme change it. If its the players pay more. But overall this weak ass defense.

That's your perspective, which you're free to have. Now, can I be content with my own? Thank you. :)

Watched him all night getting burnt talking to carolina sideline just to get burnt again and go back talking more crap. Half jog all night. Not getting in on tackles it was flat out embarrassing. I was embarrassed for him. At one point I thought they gotta get him out of there. He was jawing Beamer and the whole sideline while down almost 5 scores.

Reports say he got burnt by the his heater this morning. He told it he was going to turn it off but it kept getting hotter.

Then Hadden should have been chewing out his teammates instead of the opposition. Somebody on that squad had to step up and lead. No one did

I’m not sure about some of the comments about the defense lying down over the Jeremy Banks issue, but they were a different bunch last night from previous games.
For whatever reason this team was not flat they were more broken.

What stood out to me;
1. Lot more jawing than ever, maybe that was just releasing some built up anger in what actually happened in locker room. And why coaches accepted it instead of pulling them out of game for an ass chewing.

2. no positive “team“ attitude like previous games, when a player did make a play no other player seem to celebrate and congratulate him. No good emotions shown, or trying to lift up a player after bad play.

3. No team tackling like in past, or trying to be involved.

4. No change in attitude or adjustments coming out start 2nd half.
