Is it a foregone conclusion that Stokes is gone after this year?

That's your go to comparison?

Boozer is averaging 16.8pts 52.6%fg 9.8rebs 2.4asts .9stls for his NBA career(12 seasons) and he has a mid-range jump shot.

There are many players in the NBA that you could use as an example for why Stokes should be in the NBA but you're vastly underrating Boozer. 17-10-2.5-1 guys that shoot above 50% don't grow on trees. Especially guys that have done it for over a decade.

Why not say, if Reggie Evans can play in the NBA, Stokes can too...?

That's your opinion, but I'm basing it on value and talent level. Granted Boozer has a few years of exp. but Stokes will develop a better offensive game than Evans and could be more affective than Boozer if drafted by the right team. As for Boozer most Bull fans are still waiting on him to be traded.

Where would McRae fit in your equation?

On a scale of 1-10, with a 9+ being "elite", then McRae is about an 8.5 scorer. He also has above average handling and passable defense. He's also got the prototypical frame and high (but again not elite) athleticism.

It's why he's a solid second rounder.

I don't think there's ever been a draft where the 1st round (or even half of it) were "elite" at something. We often forget that the NBA is by far the smallest of the professional leagues when compared to the number of player in the league to who plays it. There's only ~450 guys in the league at any given time.

Personally, I don't think Stokes gets the ball enough, although his field goal percentage is down from last year (FT% has improved). No reason for him not to be the leading scorer on the team because he takes higher percentage shots than Jordan.

In regards to the Carlos Boozer statement that one needed a bit more research. Boozer is a two-time NBA all star and collegiate national champion. Stokes college numbers are lower than Boozer's NBA numbers.

C'Mon Man!!! I suspect a closet UNC fan with ulterior motives made that statement.

Not a UNC fan at all. Not comparing Boozer to Stokes just looking at the fact that Boozer has made it in the league and there is no reason why Stokes can't. I believe Stokes has better upside. Also, when Boozer was at Utah he played well til his team got to the playoffs where he disappeared. Ask most Chi-town fans if they would have rather kept Dieng or Boozer.

I really feel if he could add a jumpshot, he could actually be a good NBA player. It just seems that he can be out matched at times by lengthy postplayers. I'm not sure where mock drafts have him listed. I just hear people assuming we will have no front court next year.

He needs to stay to work on his game more. He can do that in college but will sit the seat in the NBA. Stats he could put up in college next year could determine a better draft spot which could mean millions of dollars.
