Given the fact that the regular season was only 11 games in the 90s, it means you at least had a winning season.

It means that the west was a little more up and down back then while the pecking order in the east was more stable. You still usually had a team with 1-2 losses, a couple of teams in the 8-3/7-4 range, maybe a 6-5 team and a couple with losing records.
