Is Jalin Hyatt the real Heisman

I think Hendon should be the winner, and he currently is the leader in my opinion. I think Hooker & Hyatt should both be invited to the ceremony. If we beat Georgia, then who theoretically could have had a better regular season than one of the two?
The Ohio State qb is only in the running because 'they' needed a front runner for this year. Harrison Jr is by far their best player. Who else is even in the running....? The USC qb?

He reminds me very much how of devonta smith…who just so happened to win the heisman

Can someone smarter than me explain how he’s constantly getting so wide open? It’s uncanny and it doesn’t seem like he’s doing anything particularly sneaky on those plays but it just keeps happening so it’s gotta be something he’s doing.
Tempo, Splits, choice routes

Oh. And he fast.

Said no one ever. Hyatt is the best in the country and the most consequential Vol WR since Peerless Price, but seriously. I think a few people don’t want HH to be the first Heisman winner from our school because Peyton got screwed 25 years ago.

Get over it. Hendon Hooker has thrown 4 interceptions in 20+ games. Peyton, Clausen, Tee all threw that many in one game (or at least 3 of them)

Is he the best WR in football ? Today I heard Marvin Harrison JR was. I think this WR can win the award over Hendon Hooker who is amazing in himself. Gosh next week is gonna be hard. But I’m okay with 11-1 regular season. Who would have thought.
I think Hendon will make some plays to go crazy in the next few weeks. If he beats Georgia it will be insane. Bad thing is it’s at Georgia. What do you think?
I would say the Heisman should go to Alex Golesh, if we're doing this.

I was hoping he was not a senior.

Marvin Harrison Jr is the better NFL talent (could be the best NFL player of any current college player) but Hyatt is having a better season than him.

Hyatt has a real good chance of catching 20 touchdown passes this season.

I think Harrison is the #2 receiver on his team.

To be clear, Majors over Jim Brown? Manning over Randy Moss?

Manning over Moss I would say yes based on SOS alone……I mean considering if Manning had stats to back it up.

Moss played for Marshall, their schedule:
Wast Virginia (big East) (lost)
Army
Kent
Western Illinois
Ball ST
Akron
Miami OH (lost)
Eastern Mich
Central Mich
Bowling Green
Ohio
Toledo
Mississippi (lost)

1800+ yards 26 td’s amazing no doubt……but dang he could have played for Michigan or Florida and vs top talent………the talent gap was HUGE.

Remember he would have played for ND had he not been arrested. Great player and would have had good stats still……however would he have had the same numbers? NO.

Hornung won the Heisman over Majors. Hornung's numbers: 53% competitions, 917 yds., 3 TD, 13 INT vs. Majors 5.1 rushing avg, 7 TD. Brown finished 5th in voting. Majors was a wing T tailback which required more skills than just running the ball. No doubt Brown was the best player that year, but Majors was statistically a far better college player than Hornung. ND bias made Hornung the winner.

IF we make the SECCG and a bowl, Hyatt needs 2.3 TDs per game to tie the all time season record. A playoff game drops it to right at 2.

Without looking it up, I bet nobody can guess the leader at 27. #2 is easy.

I love Hyatt and think he’s a great in his role but I think Smith and OSU’s Harrison have more diverse skill sets. They make plays on a greater variety of routes. Hyatt is a threat to get behind you or split your defense on a slant but watch Smith’s highlights from his Heisman season and you’ll see him score on short crossing routes and corner routes from inside the 5 in jump balls as well as on deep balls and slants. Hyatt is an elite big play threat but I see Smith and Harrison as being more well-rounded because they can hit the home run but also find a way to get open against double coverage and make a touch catch on 3rd down in traffic.

The Heisman is not a "potential" award.

Troy Edwards rewrote the record book if I recall.

....
I admittedly do catch a case of hyperbole when our Vols do well.

Let me ask this.
Would you be surprised if Hyatt caught 3 TDs a game for the rest of the season??
That's an insane amount to consider.
So he has 14 now.
4 more regular season games so 12.
SEC Title 3 more
Semifinal 3
NC 3

So 35 TDs...in one season.
