It’s a destination job. Viewing their hires over the years mocks the contention by some on here that all you have to do is throw money to land an elite coach. Their best hire was a Herman Edwards type...before Herman Edwards. Timing and luck gets you a Saban or Meyer...not throwing money until they can’t say no. That gets you a washed up Chip Kelly.Honestly USC should be able to do a lot better than him
If USC offers him the job, I think he absolutely goes. I think the thrill is gone in Happy Valley a little bit. He had great years in 2016 and 2017 with McSorley/Barkley, but they're both gone beginning next year. They've underachieved this year; lotta people thought they could win that division and they have 3 conference losses, and he's the kind of guy who doesn't put roots down somewhere. His showy, arrogant attitude fits in perfectly in SoCal too.He isnt leaving penn State. He is close to getting it rolling there. Coaches have been trained by their agents to next to never deny interest in any coaching vacancy. Best way to yearly renegotiate more to your current deal.
There are only a couple jobs more attractive than USC. The program, the recruiting, and lack of competition. It’s a dream job right now.He isnt leaving penn State. He is close to getting it rolling there. Coaches have been trained by their agents to next to never deny interest in any coaching vacancy. Best way to yearly renegotiate more to your current deal.
Call it what you want but its the truth. Enlighten me on your theory please.
