They don't need a big name coach. They need a coach that puts wins on the board.

He isnt leaving penn State. He is close to getting it rolling there. Coaches have been trained by their agents to next to never deny interest in any coaching vacancy. Best way to yearly renegotiate more to your current deal.

He isn’t a good decision maker. He’s inconsistent at best.

There is no theory. People keep on making the excuse for Leavh as to why no big time school will hire him. Its always the same. His personality wont fly with big money boosters. Its a crock. If the guy is that good of a coach, then his personality would be irrelevant.

I’m curious BOT, why don’t you think Leach is a good coach? He has Texas Tech 1 play away from playing for the title and has Wazzu in the hunt this year. I get the feeling he struggles with prima donnas but he seems to have a knack for coaching kids up.

How many coaches are better than Franklin? There doesn’t appear to be that many. I saw someone mention Kiffin but in no way would I consider Kiffin a better HC than Franklin.

How is he a joke? He is an absolutely incredible coach. He has won ever where he's been. Some elite coaches are kinda corcky. Look at harbaugh. But both those dudes are world class coaches.

Well maybe we have a different definition of "world class". To me that means top 10 or so out of all of college football. And if both harbaugh and franklin aren't top 10 I don't know who is.
