I dunno, last year's South Carolina wasn't that great as far as the reps have gone

they're easily the lowest ranking the east representative has had since 1992 (came in #19)

It's not saying much by winning the lousy East this year, especially when you don't play the 3 best teams in the SECW. They've had a healthy dose of being nobody spectacular but if Coach Mediocre Richt needed a year to salvage his job it was 2011.

No sour grapes, I know we are pathetic this year (after injuries)... Congrats on saving your coach's arse. I'm actually thrilled to see him come back.

I would say wait until the season is over and see what bowl game Georgia winds up in and how they perform there. They can't be accused of "backing into" the SECCG this year as they only have one conference loss. Granted, they don't have any signature wins, but still, only one conference loss. The '04 and '07 UT teams still went on to bowl game wins and final rankings of 13th and 12th, respectively. As things currently stand, last year's South Carolina squad would get my vote. 3 SEC losses, including Kentucky, got trounced in the SECCG, and lost to a mediocre FSU team in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

They're beating a mediocre team in Auburn. I'm not bashing Georgia, I just think the east is so bad and the only quality team they played this year blew them out (Boise). Outside of Bama and LSU thecrest of the SEC is a joke. Hopefully next year will be better. Looking back I think the 07 Vols were worse

The gamecocks go undefeated in the East this year, yet probably won't win the East. Funny how that works.

If you watched the UGA/USC game, you saw that UGA should have won it. A good friend of mine is a USC grad and he said the same. But you have to win it on the scoreboard, I know. I think right now UGA is by far the best team in the East, and is the East's only chance to beat the champion of the West. Not saying it will happen, but it's the best chance IMHO. And don't forget how young we are.

I think Georgia might shock some folks in the SECCG. LSU, if they win it, had better be ready for a game.
