I am very pleased that Josh Dobbs is getting a starting opportunity with a highly talented team around him. Looking at the past few moves, Dobbs was sought out by teams to start where their starter was unavailable. This reminds me of Ryan Fitzpatrick's transactions, with the exception being Buffalo who signed him with the intention of him being a long term starting solution. Both men are incredibly intelligent AND possess tremendous leadership qualities. As Fitz magic had a tremendous career, earning $82 M over a seventeen years, I potentially see a similar path for Dobbs. If he maximizes his opportunity with a very talented group in Minnesota, I'm sure a team will throw a generous contract his way. Jimmy Garoppolo is currently making $25 M annually on a three year deal. Dobbs should easily demand a similar figure if he finds success with the Vikings. After that, who knows? Fitz certainly did very well for himself. I see Dobbs following suit.

Blast from the past... Article explains NFL scouts questioning Dobbs intelligence 🤣 🤣 🤣

Can Josh grow a beard first?
I think the hair averages out with Fitz and Dobbs. They're also both really bright guys.

They should get podcast or analyst show when Josh is done or fill in when Peyton and Eli don't do games. I'm betting both guys have stories about lots of franchises.

Passing accuracy was Dobb’s Achilles Heel in college. Still has the same issue. Great athlete, super intelligent, and certainly a great teammate.
I love to see him continue to get paid for playing, but unless he has a tremendous hot streak with Minnasota, I don’t see him signing a long term big money contract. I still pull for him to excel. He definitely was a QB for Tenn who made the entire team better.

What I’d like to see is for him to find a stable, backup job for a good team. I think he’d be great behind Jackson in Baltimore or Hurts in Philly or something like that. JMO

When I heard yesterday Dobbs had been traded again the first thing I thought of was Fitzpatrick.
