Is Kameel Jackson Walking On

I think better route running will make the qbs better. Last year I know qbs where bad but I think a lot of it was the wrs routes.

Sorry but I disagree. I'm sure bad routes didn't help but the QBs were late, overwhelmed, showed bad / inexperienced decision making, and I can't count how many balls Worley bounced short/across the field.

All this with a stellar OL.

I think you & I have differing opinions on the definition of "stellar". :)

That's:
Pig, Malone, Wharton, Jenkins, Drae Bowled, North, Pearson, Vroom, Josh Smith, Jaye Rochell?? (Rs fr), Johnathan Johnson, Cody Blanc, Jakob Carter, and Adrian Gamble.. Plus Kameel Jackson if that really happens!!

Holy Sh!t.. Just throw it down field and let someone find it lol

Will be hard to throw down the field if the QB gets pressured on every play. Hopefully our Oline can handle it.

Well.. Coach Z likes blocking WR.. So just put 10 in, let the 4 biggest block.. Send the other 6 down field, and air it out.. Actually you could even line north up as rb since he played in hs.. And pig in the "wild pig" formation.. We going all the way!!!

Plus UK beat us a couple years ago with a we at qb.. Just sayin

Heard on the radio (so no link) Monday I believe, that a sports writer (don't remember who) said he saw Worley and he believes he'll be the most improved player in the SEC this year.

If Worley can turn in a 3,000+ yard, 25+ TD kind of season, we can definitely win 7-8 games this year.

If worley can have a 2012 Tyler Bray year (stat wise.. And not beer bottle stat).. With these weapons.. We could win 10 and be in the secc game..

The two go hand in hand. It's very easy to blame the QB. Everybody, myself included, reflexively blames the QB. But if the WRs arent breaking off their routes correctly, aren't getting off coverage, aren't getting to the correct depths, aren't reading coverages in sync with the QB then you often get what looks like pathetic throws when in actuality it's the WRs fault.

Not saying that happened every time but I'd be willing to bet it was our WRs fault more than half the time last year. This year, after a full year in Butch's offense should make a tremendous difference or should at least help elucidate where the primary fault lies, QB or WR, if it doesn't.

Edit: Butch all but said this with this quote today at his presser:

“This past year, I think we forced our quarterbacks to have to play perfectly at times,” Jones said. “In no way, shape or form is our receiving corps to the point where — we want to be exceptional. We want to be the best in the country. We still need to recruit, and we still need to develop. But they have taken tremendous strides, and I do think the quarterback position will be elevated this year because of the supporting cast around them.

Yes. See his thread in Recruiting Forum.

Sometimes I wonder if people think the football forum and the recruiting forum are on different servers. Very minimal crossover in posters. Questions asked in the football forum have been answered in the recruiting forum. One's optimistic the other one not so much etc. etc.

Won't be too long before we have that depth almost everywhere, if we can continue recruiting like this

that is the most important thing CBJ and staff can do,get UT some good quality depth, that has been missing for years

Kameel is a good player. I was excited when he commited the first time. And I forgot about the guy from Virginia. Man our Wr's are stacked. I would say running back is the next position to get this deep when we get to camp next fall.

I actually mentioned in my initial post that I read the recruiting forum and was looing for something a little more concrete.

Sometimes I wonder if people are so eager to be condescending to the OP that they don't even read the initial post.....

Here is the latest. It says it's from knoxnews and updated 12 hours ago. "Jones declined to comment when asked if Kameel Jackson will walk on with the Vols." So if anyone has an account with that loser paper. Please confirm.

It sounds like UT is being hush hush until for sure they know if he can get in school. He probably can. I think if that wasn't the case CBJ would have probably said No he will not be a part of our football team this year. Just sayin

On the VQ Pfort says they are going to see if he's on the practice field tonite. He says its a weird situation because K Jackson did take an official visit to UT last August. I wouldn't think that would matter in terms of walking on or not but I guess UT is making sure.

If he is a walk on.. He wouldn't be on the roster until school starts (unless he took summer classes.. Which I think is the case with Adrian Gamble).. So idk if he can even practice yet because he might not technically be "ON THE TEAM"

Which would also be why Butch Jones wouldn't be able to talk about him.. That would be an NCAA violation

Would think someone at practice would've tweeted something by now. My orange juice glass is ALWAYS half full, but after Kiffin and Dooley, I hope for the best but assume the worst

Obviously you won't believe me cause I'm not a "source" or claim to be one....but I can say this....sadly he won't make it due to grades. Take it with a grain of salt for now...but remember this when it comes out.
