Lws said that hart has really cooled on Kirby over the last couple of months.

I think we going to get a guy who is already a head coach

IF we went the coordinator route, I'd be ok with Kirby.

I DO NOT WANT TO GO THAT ROUTE

Muschamp did it at several schools but I believe Kirby has only been the DC at Bama.

Why do you think he is not.

LOL, I never said that, was just curious why you felt like he is? I think he is a heck of a coordinator, Just don't know how he would do as a head coach. I really don't want the administration to say, hay lets see if this works with this hire, but I'm all ears as to why you think he would succeed?

we haven't had good results off of Sabans coaching tree so far,I'd have to go with what PimpVol said

I think he would be a great head coach for reasons, from the Saban tree (8 years), great defenses year in and year out, great recruiter, and was a good player himself.

He and Muschamp both UGA boys.

He does produce great defenses... I think the Saban tree thing has lost some of its luster around here, still thing it's a good thing, just thing the fan base would be skeptical... great recruiter, truth... good player, sorta irrelevant. I would be okay with this hire, after failing the elephant hunt.

Muschamp left the Saban cocoon and ran the defense at Texas. So far Kirby hasn't run a defense without Saban around. No one knows how much Saban does on defense but most assume it is a lot. So whats to say that Kirby is actually good or bad?
