All of this Kiffin love is enough to make me sick.

Is he the best? No

I'd take the old pirate Mike Leach, Kliff Kingsbury, or Lincoln Riley over Kiffin.

If Kingsbury ever got a DC worth a darn, Texas Tech would be unstoppable.

Hm. Maybe, if all you have is a flag football offense to practice against.... the defense has no chance against real competition. I remember saying Chavis wasn't going to be able to help TAM, and he hasn't... not because he isn't a solid defensive coordinator.

Playing flag football on offense will probably produce a flag football defense.

I get what you are saying. Offenses that score early and score often tend to leave their defense on the field for more snaps and result in them getting gassed. Not sure old "3rd and Chavis" is a good example. However some teams have succeeded at both. I seem to remember Spurrier's fun and gun offense putting up big numbers and Bob Stoops was his DC and produced a really good defense.

Kind of funny that the "gifted" and "talented" offensive genius Kiffin cannot land a big time HC job. Kiffin is a career coordinator like Charlie Weis. He just needs to accept it.

The last few years AL Davis made some seriously dumb moves in all areas of football operations.

And having the best athletes always makes coaches look better. Period.

So butch doesn't have any talent
Got it.

Stupid post
Georgia doesn't have athletes
Lsu didn't have athletes

You're right it's only that and coaching isn't that important

He's going to have to prove that he's going to stick it out (won't bolt in the night) and won't embarrass the program, either through shady moves or tacky personal behavior. Otherwise, he's an awfully big risk, other than for the desperate.

He'll get a HC job again. That's just the luck he has.
I mean how many of us ever thought he'd be an assistant for Saban?

He might have to take a small school and move back up but he'll be an HC again. That's just his luck.

Arguing with Reader isn't worth it.
You can prove him wrong over and over and he just insults you for not seeing things his way..

True. I also believe its the fact that he has never been at a program where he didnt have a bunch of talent to work with. I mean look at him at Bama. How hard can it be to be a great OC with a team chocked full of 5* talent?

Don't remember all that he had at UT but they were t loaded by any means

So many different programs have refused overtures by Kiffin's agent, he has reached the point where he's now being turned down for jobs he currently has or has held in the past. Chances are good when all the dust settles, he'll be left with nothing but GA at Colorado State, a job he last held in 1999.

I wonder if it has anything to do with contract demands? You know, if another dream job opens up, he can bolt with no strings attached.
