Is mcbee really our best 3 point shooter?

I'm penetrating and kicking or running mcbee off a series of screens, including Stokes, to get him a 3. Much harder to defend than a pullup in that situation. He won't be dribbling to free himself up, unless its a pump fake with a rhythm dribble.
I'd take trae with a spot up as well, but somebody has to be in charge with the ball.

If its for a 3, the penetration wont do much good. mcbee will have trouble gettin a shot, no matter what the play or however many screens, everyone will hedge it. Just like the ole miss game, he got it off but I was a fading sideways 35 footer that banked in, hahaha, I'll take it though.

That's where having a guy like hubbs will be nice, can create his own shot.

Hopefully if we need a basket this year it's just a 2, and we go down low.

McBee has improved from the 3pt line in each year he has been at UT, if he continues to improve at the same pace he has previously then he will be shooting over 40% from three this season.

Random, maybe weird question. Who did lead us in floorburns? I figured it was mcbee, he's always on the floor.

He has been absolutely scorched in his time. Everyone here knows I bashed on him the most. But he made a substantial improvement last off season. If he can keep his man in front of him and hit an open jumpshot, you can't ask for much more from him.

I've been impressed and proven wrong with McBee. Very glad both happened.

What I meant was the article said he was second on the team in floorburns (hustle plays). I was curious who was first, seems like McBee is always diving on the floor.

I would guess it would be Tatum. Coach Martin usually complimented his hustle, and I remember seeing several. Plus, Tatum got a lot of playing time.

Oh wait. Is it diving on the floor for a loose ball? And feeling like your skin is all burned??? Yikes.

Basically.

Not sure that feeling the burn is a requirement to earn a floor burn from the staff, think it just means diving for loose ball/getting on the floor.

Well I guess I should have read the article before I posted! haha
