Is Petrino a forbidden word @ UT?

it is if you're trying to hire a moral authority; but i think we're trying to hire a double barreled badass of a head coach and not the former. i would support the hire.

the huckleberry bible thumping portion of the fan-base would have an absolute fit though...just saying.

This.

I have a feeling that everyone in the SEC has agreed not to hire this man. Wouldnt be suprised if he ends up coaching a PAC 12 team down the road.

I saw something while i was digging for info earlier (while this place was down) that Slive had asked schools not to hire him, i cant remember where exactly i saw this though so dont shot the messenger just saying that i saw something about it earlier today.

It seems Petrino is some kind of four letter word but the fact that we can't see the wins past the human nature is almost astounding. While the PR may be negative at first after we come out winning and beating the top dogs of the SEC the talk will only be about how Tennessee has really turned around. I say if all te Gruden talk is false (most likely is) then Petrino would be the next closest thing to a home-run

There's a reason why Peterino is not a coach right now and the likes of KY and Auburn didn't hire him. The crew on 104.5 yesterday talked about him and said it was rumored that Auburn found even more on him that is not out therein public sight.

Western Kentucky is introducing Petrino as their new coach later today. Wonder if he'll be there after the ink dries..

To me it's very apparent the best available coach out there is Petrino. Now I don't get to listen to the sports shows that much during the day but, I do listen as often as possible & never hear him mentioned. Is this because the boosters don't like him? At this point, the hell with a mans personal life, we need a coach who can win! Start filling Neyland up again & his past will all be forgotten. This fan base can't take another "dooley type" hire!

Yep. 'What price victory' and all that.

WKU arguably makes the biggest hiring splash of them all. Of course, you can make a splash in a porta potty, too.
