just a rhetorical question - if the FBI had informants in on the planning of J6 (to the extent there was planning) don't they have a duty to stop "greatest threat to democracy" prior to it occurring? One is left to presume that 1) they didn't think it would be that serious and/or 2) the political value of letting it go was greater than the danger posed.

Trump attorney @AlinaHabba reveals Trump secretly hosted families of J6 political prisoners at Mar-a-Lago last night:
"Before he (Trump) started dinner last night, he stood up and he played that January 6th Orchestra song and we stood up and we said the National Anthem and we prayed for this country... he stood up, he shook their hands, he gave them hugs and he just keeps on fighting."

Revelation of FBI Informants Shakes Proud Boys’ January 6 Trial
Revelations of the sheer number of FBI informants involved in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot have shaken a trial of members of the Proud Boys in Washington, DC, as one FBI informant had infiltrated the defense team.
As Julie Kelly, who has covered the January 6 trials extensively, reports, there are at least ten informants now known to have been involved in the Proud Boys — more than twice the five defendants who are on trial.
One shocking revelation last week was that one FBI informant, Jen Loh, a member of Latinos for Trump, had been in close contact with the defendants and their legal team throughout the trial, potentially compromising their constitutional rights.
If the government had spied on discussions among the defendants and their lawyers by using an informant, that would violate the attorney-client privilege and the Sixth Amendment.

Trump ducks and weaves to avoid light being shined upon his conduct. Clearly, he has a lot to hide. It seems at least one of his spider holes is removed. Maybe, unless he is allowed to whittle another delay, exclusion, uncooperative, or some Republiar protective ploy is provided. Get the business done already. The mess is tiring enough as it is. At least one tried and true tenet is proven. If you have the money, you can get away with practically anything. Or avoid consequences until it all blows over for one reason or another. Duck and weave? Yeah, the man does know how to wiggle, eh? Hmmm. Wonder if Pence will be truthful, or too scared of Trumpians to do so?

I know it may be a difficult concept to grasp but you actually have to have committed a crime before you should be charged with one much less convicted of it.
So far, in spite of all the bluster of the left, Trump has not been shown to have actually committed an action that is an actual crime (and I will admit, I am as surprised as anyone they haven't found something that actually has merit).
So it just shows the left's utter desperation (surprising since they are simply going to try to cheat their way to victory again) in trying to convict him on spurious charges.
