Honestly, I'm very confused at how you think I'm exercising a double standard. I'm literally saying that if Trump does what Clinton or Obama did then he should be punished. That's the exact opposite of a double standard.
And I will say that had Clinton or Obama done half of what Trump has done they should have been impeached ASAP.

The thing is that the Dems know this isn’t going anywhere but that isn’t the point anyway. The point isn’t to get Trump out mid-term, the point is to cast so much doubt in the minds of the swing voters that he gets voted out next year. Anyone that thinks this is about removing Trump from office before 2021 is fooling themselves. There’s not enough evidence to get him out and not one Democrat in the House cares.
It's about driving home the point that Trump is a horrendously despicable human.
That, and doing their sworn duty.

There is no doubt that it's far easier to believe what you want to believe than what you would rather not believe.
I want to believe that Trump is guilty and the facts are making that incredibly easy.
The ones wanting to believe Trump is not guilty are having the greater struggle.
True. So far I haven’t seen any actual proof of a crime. If there is some recording out there that proves Trump did indeed extort or bribe Ukraine to dig up dirt on the Bidens so he could win 2020 then he needs to go. I do find it interesting that no one is asking about a recording of the phone call. I’m guessing that July call was recorded by one side or the other but that isn’t coming up on either side for some reason, not that I’ve seen anyway. I can’t catch anywhere near everything though with a full time job and 3 boys.

True again. That’s exactly their point. They want to make him appear as ugly as they can. Very few of those people in Washington give a crap about their sworn duty. Everything is about gaining power to those people. Everything.

????
It's just my personal belief, and always has been, that the damage Trump brings ultimately outweighs any perceived short term economic benefits.
What about the people who, in your short down turn, lose their jobs, their house, etc. all because you dont like Trump? Not everyone could afford that set back. Cheering for an economic down turn is cheering for people to endure real and actual hardships. It's a privileged take by you luth.

No, thinking like that impeaches your moral compass. If morals were a priority to you, you’d want the truth to bear out your beliefs rather than your insatiable defense of all things mental liberal influencing your beliefs.

What you want and what is, are never in agreement. Perhaps it’s you who’s the problem, not the Trump nut-huggin’ fanboys.

I’ve said it before, but people like you should be infinitely-banned from getting within 100-miles of a voting booth. One of you is hysterical; several million of you is a threat to the fundamental tenets of this country. You either do not see the irony of what you are and what you ostensibly detest, or you’re a troll who has too much time on his hands to lead a noble life.

Admittedly, I’ve never once attempted to converse with you about politics with an honest back-and-forth debate, and I won’t. It’s much easier to expose you, then watch you squirm along your self-invented continuums.

He did do what Clinton did. He used Trump foundation money to pay off personal lawsuits. He admitted to it.

It's definitely the Trump nut-huggin fanboys. Just admit you don't understand the concept of continuums or anything outside your echo chamber. .

Nobody is saying he is the first. The question is about whether or not extortion for political gain is impeachable. How commonplace we estimate it is does not matter. Whether or not it's a "crime" doesn't matter. He's the most powerful man in the world. Are you OK with this kind of corruption at the highest level?

I’m not ok with it at all. I’m just numb to it. I believe our elected leaders should be held to a much higher standard. I get the feeling that I’m the minority. Trump is a buffoon and is unfit for the office. The problem is that his opposition in the House is just as buffoonish.

I see one small distinction that may need to be settled. He wasn't a public official when he did what Clinton did. He should be punished for it, which he is based on the $2M judgement. But I don't know if that is impeachable in his circumstance.

That is the very question I have been trying to get answered the entire time. When is Trump being accused of these actions?

Anyone???
I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, so I'm just going to disregard this.

In any case, this thread is simply asking whether or not extortion of an allied country to investigate a political opponent should be grounds for impeachment. Feel free to weigh in on that.

WTF???

Its a very simple question?
If you're asking me when Trump allegedly attempted to extort an allied country to investigate your political opponent, read here.

If you're asking when people turned off their brains for Trump, it's pretty much from the day he announced his candidacy.

LOL......How's the view from up there?
My moral compass works exceptionally well. One big key to a properly functioning moral compass is knowing how to read it.
I trust you aren't so naive that you fail to understand and acknowledge that it's easier for you to believe what you want to believe over what you would prefer not to believe.
If you are that naive, then you're only exposing yourself.
Noble life? Give me a break.

maybe @W.TN.Orange Blood can call on the twitter pollsters to get this VN poll headed in the right direction?
I would think that you would call your friend Nancy, and tell them to vote on impeachment. Sounds like a slam dunk removal of office to me. I don't see how the Senate would fail to convict based upon the mountain of evidence of criminality.
