So regardless of what you believe his exact words are. It’s nothing like the fake quote originally posted, which I assume @Rasputin_Vol was comparing the two
Then, specialists such as Juan Cole of the University of Michigan and Arash Norouzi of the Mossadegh Project pointed out that the original statement in Persian did not say that Israel should be wiped from the map, but instead that it would collapse.
Cole said this week that in the 1980s Khomeini gave a speech in which he said in Persian “Een rezhim-i eshghalgar-i Quds bayad az sahneh-i ruzgar mahv shaved.” This means, “This occupation regime over Jerusalem must vanish from the arena of time.” But then anonymous wire service translators rendered Khomeini as saying that Israel “must be wiped off the face of the map,” which Cole and Nourouzi say is inaccurate.

I don’t know anything about the fake quote. I only know the link you posted was rubbish.Take it up with The NY Times. They’re the ones who reported it. And actually your 2011 article states he said it in 2005 so.... coming back in 2011 and saying “oh it was mistranslated...” is absolutely ******** and revisionist history at best. In 2005 nobody corrected it as “mistranslated” and it was condemned worldwide. If this was mistranslated someone......anyone would have spoken up.
Unlike this fake quote only heard by an unknown source supposedly said in Hebrew, during a debate being held in English at a private meeting.

It’s rubbish because it’s inaccurate as all hell.Again
Take it up with The NY Times. Everyone knows they’re very conservative and are always pro Israel
Or every paper in the world before 2011 when the agenda changed and people wanted to pretend it didn’t happen.
I remember the situation well as I was actually paying attention when it happened. You not liking it doesn’t mean it’s rubbish or that it didn’t happen.
At the time Israel was clear on what was said and what was meant.
Peres: Iran can also be wiped off the map
I think block chain technology has a future, but I'm not a big believer in cryptocurrencies.Topic change
@Rasputin_Vol
Curious what you think of this.
Saudi Arabia and UAE to launch cross-border cryptocurrency
It’s already a law in 26 states...
It’s one of the most ridiculous, unconstitutional things I’ve ever seen...
Bolshevism...
