Is the world better off with the nation of Israel?

Israel pounds targets around Damascus as it launches airstrikes against Islamic Jihad terrorists in Syria and the Gaza Strip

Israel tonight pounded targets surrounding Damascus, prompting a volley of anti-aircraft fire in return, sending tremors through the Syrian capital.

In a rare acknowledgement of operations in neighbouring Syria, Israel said its warplanes attacked targets of the Palestinian militant Islamic Jihad group south of Damascus in addition to sites in the Gaza Strip.

Syria reported an Israeli attack near Damascus International Airport and said its air defences confronted Israeli rockets coming from the direction of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. It said the defenders intercepted or shot down most of them.

Residents said multiple explosions shook Damascus for about 15 minutes as air defences fired back.

The smoke trail of a rocket, fired by Palestinian militants, flying over the Gaza Strip. Palestinian militants in Gaza pounded Israel with rockets Sunday after Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian suspected of placing a bomb near the border

Israel said its strikes 'were carried out in response to the attempted attack this morning on the security fence (in Gaza) and the launching of rockets from the Gaza Strip at Israel.'

It said the sites attacked were used for 'research and development of armaments' that are manufactured in Syria and the Gaza Strip. It said the sites also produce dozens of kilograms of rocket fuel each month.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors the Syrian conflict, said the explosions resulted from Israeli bombing of suspected Iranian-backed militias in the vicinity of Damascus International Airport.

Israel frequently strikes at targets inside Syria, but has largely refrained from public admissions of its covert military operations there.

Iran is an ally of Damascus and has offered military advisers and sent militiamen and material support to help President Bashar Assad's government forces in the nine-year civil war.

Israel considers Iran a national security threat and says it won't tolerate Iran's presence on its borders.

In November, Israel targeted two senior Islamic Jihad commanders in a simultaneous attack, killing one in the Gaza Strip and missing the second in Syria.

At the time, Israeli warplanes fired three missiles at the home of Akram al-Ajouri, a member of Islamic Jihad's leadership living in exile.

He was not harmed, but his son and granddaughter were killed.

How hard is it to understand a simple concept . Stop setting bombs , stop firing rockets , stop killing people inside Israel and I’ll bet these attacks stop . What do you think we would be doing to Mexico if they allowed Mexican and Russian fighters to use their country to do the same to us on our border ?

What are you babbling about? Getting the Syrians confused with the Palestinians? Israel is attacking Syria for regime change, not for a few bottle rockets landing in vineyards.

Israel is attacking the ones attacking it is what the article says . Your bias is showing and on full display here with your bottle rocket comment.

Benjamin Netanyahu threatens a WAR with Hamas following rocket attack sparked by Israeli soldiers using a bulldozer to move a Palestinian bomber's body after they shot him

  • Israel was hit by around 20 rockets Monday morning, fired by militants in Gaza
Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened a war between Israel and Hamas after his country was hit by rockets fired from Gaza for the second straight day.

The Israeli military said that 20 'projectiles' were fired at its territory by the Islamic Jihad group on Monday, 18 of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome defences.

The clashes began on Sunday after a Palestinian militant was shot while trying to plant an explosive device along the Gaza border fence.

Israeli soldiers then used a bulldozer to move his body, prompting outrage from militants who fired missiles back. Israel also bombed militant targets in Gaza and Syria overnight.

Pictures from Monday's rocket attacks showed one had landed in an Israeli children's playground, though no injuries were reported.

Netanyahu met with rabbi heard in recording with Gantz strategist prior to its release

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Wednesday with the rabbi who took part in the recorded conversation in which Benny Gantz's campaign strategist Yisrael Bachar is heard criticizing him.

On Friday, Gantz fired Bachar after the recording of him speaking with Rabbi Guy Habura was leaked to the media the previous day. Habura is friends with Netanyahu's personal attorney, Amit Hadad.

Gantz Chosen To Form Government, Netanyahu Argues To Stay PM Over Coronavirus Concerns

Gantz was tapped after a majority of 61 lawmakers in the 120-member Parliament told President Reuven Rivlin they support Gantz over Netanyahu. A coalition of Arab parties, including a staunchly Palestinian nationalist faction, decisively helped tip the scales by unanimously endorsing Gantz.
So Israel has a deep state as well. Netanyahu won the election but the career politicans don't agree with the people.

‘They never tell you there WERE people there’: Seth Rogen stirs hornet’s nest after saying Israel ‘makes no sense’

“If it is truly for the preservation of Jewish people, it makes no sense, because again, you don’t keep something you’re trying to preserve all in one place especially when that place has proven to be… pretty volatile,” Rogen told comedian Mark Maron on his ‘WTF’ podcast on Monday.

“And I also think that as a Jewish person... I was fed a huge amount of lies about Israel my entire life,” he said. “You know, they never tell you, that oh by the way, there were people there.”

So basically ssdd.
Maybe he should be worried about the bull **** happening here as opposed to the bull **** happening there.
Did he give any thought on Hong Kong ?
Also not our problem

What land on Earth didn’t have people on it? It’s an oversimplification of the result following WWII. The Palestinians were offered half of the land but refused. Israel was declared war upon by its neighbors literally the day it was formed and has never really been viewed as legitimate by its usual antagonists like Iran and Syria. The Holocaust played a huge factor in its creation. Had there never been WWII, there probably wouldn’t be a nation of Israel today.
