Is this real

It is very typical for a ref or ump to play to the crowd a little bit. The gesture by this ref was really tame compared to some of the dramatic calls I have seen over the years. Refs are human. Sometimes their professionalism drops for a split second, and there’s nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn’t interfere with their calls. In this case, the call was right. No problem. It wasn’t like he high-fived a UT player. I remember seeing an MLB umpire clapping for a pitcher after he got a no-hitter. They get caught up in the moment as well. They love sports and get excited too. And like I said, this gesture is extremely tame, and could just be him thinking, “That was a good call.”

Beat them once, and they cry like babies, fire bullets into the neighbors' houses, and shoot at their family members.

Beat them multiple times...and watch them subpoena Heupel before an Alabama court.

They don't deserve the few quality people they have graduated. Guys like Croom and Cut are good folks. Too bad they went to a school that is well beneath their level of class.

In jumpmaster school, I found myself doing something almost exactly like that.

Because the back of a C-130 is so loud, jumpmasters use a lot of hand and arm signals to communicate with their paratroopers. Usually with both arms doing the same thing. Not very different from a referee holding both arms up to signify 'touchdown.'

And what I found myself doing, after each signal, was closing my fists and bringing my arms back in toward my body. Kind of a sub-conscious 'reset'.

In other words, I think what this ref did is just human nature at play. Not the same for everyone, probably, but a common enough gesture/reaction to be understandable.

On the other hand, I'm thrilled he was on our side. Take that, Gumps! Haha!

Go Vols!

Yeah, you younger Vol fans are in for a treat. Now that Tennessee's broken the streak, and we can actually stop ignoring Alabama and start thinking about them as just another team with fans, you're going to quickly learn just how monumentally stupid your average Bammer is. You've heard about people who lower the IQ of a room? Well now you're gonna see it for real, especially if Alabama loses more games. These are not gifted individuals. They're sure that their team is flawless, that every official is out to get them, that the deck is always stacked against them. Hell, they think Logan Young died in an accident.

In short, they are the commonest of common clays of the south. You know. Morons.

To me, Bama, their coaches, and the ones that want to cry and whine are grasping for straws when they plainly got whipped and taken to the doghouse in the first half......And still beaten by a team determined to win in the second half. They need to man up, accept their defeat, and focus on their mistakes this week or they will be grasping for excuses again come Saturday evening. For 15 years, and especially last year TN could have moaned and whined to the SEC office, but we took our whippings and focused on getting better with our current staff. This year's staff are getting our program back to a respectable level and to a level that many fans have been wanting to see. GBO!!!
