Is TX a lock for SEC champ?

I personally think Texas has major issues that are glossed over by an easier schedule and will lose by 10 to A&M in College Station.

If TX doesn’t at least play for the SEC champ then we are 100 percent out of it.
If TX doesn’t win the SEC champ I think we are out.
If TX beats Bama, we replace Ole Miss
If TX beats GA , we replace GA
??? Thoughts??
Texas doesn’t play Alabama 🙄.
Are you talking about the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP Or the CFP??

Or both?

It will be very interesting if Texas loses. They surely will drop below UGA. Then an honest debate needs to happen in the committee . Texas was presumed good prior to the season and then thought to be elite when they dominated Michigan. That shine would be fully worn off. Yes they beat Ark and we lost but they didn’t look great. We lost to UGA away and they were dominated at home. They barely escaped at Vandy. Come that time our best win will be against the highest ranked and possibly SEC champ Bama. What is their best win? Is it Vandy? Ark? We have a better resume against them in this scenario than I think we do currently vs Ole Miss.

Yeah I mean they won’t put a 3 loss Alabama or 3 loss Georgia in over a 2 loss Tennessee.

But I’m sad to report-Texas ain’t winning the SEC championship this year, not in their inaugural year. Just can’t happen

If one of those 3 losses is in the SEC CG I’m afraid you may be wrong. I agree with it. All cones back to you shouldn’t be penalized for playing in your conference championship.

Absolutely with one caveat. If an unproven team makes it to the SECCG and then gets blown out then I would have no problem with it punishing the losing team. Example would be say Indiana did not play OSU but made it to the championship, then was blown out by an OSU or Oregon, that would be a scenario where the loss may and in my opinion should factor in.

Simply not true even though you don’t want to believe so. Someone ahead of us needs to help us by dropping a game. Committee made that pretty clear yesterday.
HTF do you know what I believe? 🤭.

I'm just going with the percentages. I realize a P4 in front of us needs to lose. If they all win out, we will still have a nice New Year's bowl. I won't be all tore up about it either

The only scenario for us to get to the SEC Championship is us vs Georgia.

Whole lot of potential craziness to play out over the next two weeks or so.

Texas with 2 losses makes the playoff. Unfortunately that brand is that powerful. I have zero faith the committee will make the right choice, they will find a way to justify it and it will probably be at our expense.

Their best win was in Nashville, by a slim margin. Not so sure they stick in the playoffs if A&M hands them one

if that were true, then Georgia shouldn’t have been left out last year.

I’ve been surprised before but I’ll be shocked if anybody with 3 losses gets in. The furor would be unbelievable.

Oh I know, they had an easy schedule. If they lost to both ranked teams they played I could see the committee finding a way to put them in and justify it. Just my gut.
I can see that scenario too. A lot of heat would come down on them as a result. So much so, changes would be made before next year

Ain't no way we are making the playoffs. The peasants with their pitch forks and torches will not allow it.
