The point is he wasn’t a scrub. He had 16 assists in a game and it wasn’t versus West Appalachia State A&T. He beat Kentucky 3x his junior year. The same year that he made 87% of his free throws.
Yeah, had much to do with the turnaround in the 79 season. Loved Bert. Got to know him personally about 25 years ago. Great guy too

6th place with 472 Career Assists (would need 244 on season to pass Johnny Darden's 715, but CJ Watson is 2nd with 577)
7th place with 181 Career Steals (would need 32 on season to pass Santiago's 212)

I think he's already in the top 5 personally. If he has another good season he'll be hard to argue against.

3x SEC All-Defense
SEC All-Freshman
2x All-Sec
1x SEC DPOY
1x SEC Tournament Title
1x SEC Regular Season Title
1x Elite Eight
2x Sweet Sixteen

Bill Hann was a terrific point guard except for shooting; he could defend, run the offense, drive and pass extremely well. He managed to get drafted by the Hawks even though he couldn't shoot very well. One of my personal favorites.
