all I know is I would hate to be answering those phones (and especially checking the voicemail in the morning)

how very Christian of you

I know two men who were embedded deep in Afghanistan for a little over a year. They have told of their experiences and what they saw done to people in that region of the world. It's hared to believe what these people do to one another over their so called religion. Not to mention what they did to us on our own soil.

But I thought Islam taught peace and tolerance?

For the past 8 to 10 years (if not more) people of the Islamic faith have in many ways allowed their religion to become hijacked by the fringes of their faith. We have had to deal with the fundamentalists first hand because the Islamic faith either would not or could not deal with them. Perhaps this is a step in the right direction for moderate Muslims, to get their message out there and marginalize the whack jobs among them. Why should we discourage this? It seems like a positive step to me, they are getting their message out there and as long as they are on the up and up it shouldn't bother us, doesn't matter if you're Christian or any other faith for that matter, it's a positive step isn't it?

The same could be said of Christianity in certain times and places. But I know I know, Christianity is just "special" and gets passes on any criticisms.

The problem with your thinking is that these muslims that have committed these acts of war are not on the fringe of Islam, they are doing exactly what they are taught, those who do these acts are good muslims.

Your intimacy with the Muslim culture and faith is astounding.

Most of you would be up in arms if this were a billboard promoting Christianity.

Oh, you mean like the 30 billboards around Knoxville I see promoting various church services, that nobody, including myself seems to have a problem with?

This isn't true at all, the only people who believe that killing for the sake of killing is a good thing are the fundamentalists fringe. The majority of Muslims would tell you that killing innocent men and women is wrong and not justified by their faith.

I pretty much agree with this.
