this is interesting. does everyone agree here that Israel is going to get bombed no matter what? and when they do, just proves even more the bible was right

Israel will be bombed eventually but their response will be quick and decisive. It will escalate and America will probably be the only ally they could trust at that point.

I dunno, I would focus more toward Asia and the possiblity of China expanding under the guise of needing resources for their population.

I don't think that the bible predicted this, I think the bible is the reason why this is going on. But hey, make validations any way you can.

Chirac???? took the country pretty far to the left but with their new leadership have returned to a more moderate direction. There are still cases of vandalism of jewish gathering places and synagogs in Europe, and if I recall correctly France had more cases than most. That being said European countries will worry more about what is in Europes best interest and not so much about Israel. They may claim to support Israel but when it comes to actual aid America will be the only true friend.

It will be another world war. You will have the Asian countries being aided by Russia either directly or indirectly. Then you will have a front in the middle east, and you can rest assured they will do everything they can to make Israel the battleground on that front.

Historically speaking, France has been by the side of Israel as much as the United States has.

It would be interesting to see the United Nations say in the matter.

The United Nations would publicly condemn it but would still allow it. Remember that many of Israel's biggest enemies now hold much sway in the United Nations. I don't think France would enter the fray. If they do it will only be to surrender.

I like to pile on France as much as the next person but their military is not as bad as some would have you believe.

Their special forces units are top notch and ruthless.

If push came to shove, I believe a lot of countries would aid Israel.

China has been building their military at an alarming rate. We are now the two super powers. I think they would see this as being the right time to use that superiority. We would be at a disadvantage, we would have to rev our industrial sector back up as we have eliminated many jobs and factories over the years.

I agree from our standpoint, but I think it would just be a matter of time before we would settle in and win the war.

If they do decide to attack it will not be a conventional attack. I think it will be both nuclear surgical strikes. In that kind of situation a war could be won in just a couple of years. It would probably take six months to a year to get our factories building tanks and bombs at 100%.

It would be World War II all over again, but once the arsenal of democracy is running, I doubt any one could stop us.

A lot of people are looking at this scenario very hard over the last coupe of years. The original line of thought was the Northern Resource Area, which is Siberia. Now they are projecting other regions in which China would expand to, including the ME and Australia.

Some of that stuff is scary but it is almost practical for China to do so.

It is a matter of time before they expand and start killing off part of their population via war.

China's military is growing at an alarming rate. They are most likely the number 2 power in the world. They have a way to go to match the US. The reason our Army is so succesful is that it is a non-conscription army. Our Navy is the largest fleet in the world by an order of all countries in the world combined are still smaller than the US fleet. Air Force, well, I am waiting on the F-22 Raptors to take air dominance soon.

Yeah, the US believes it is inevitable, the speculation is more as to when/where?

Would I be going out on a limb to suggest we would have complete Naval and Air Superiority against China?

We have superiority, the question we are facing is will we have the numbers?

My opinion on this is, the Army is the most lopsided difference.
