I don't know what the concealed/open carry laws are like in Israel for actual citizens, but if I was one of them I would be walking around at maximum loadout 24/7 and have a lethal weapon in every room of the house as well...and I almost never carry a gun here. If you cant carry a gun, I would carry the largest blade allowed even if it was a kukri/machete/short sword. Its always been dangerous there because of the muslims...but Oct. 7th changed things in my opinion. Plus, Israel has been at war for their survival for thousands of years. War against coward terrorists is the worst kind IMO, never knowing who, when, or where you will be attacked. We are blessed to be Americans and wake every morning with the natural barriers of the Atlantic and Pacific to protect us from attacks. Few countries on Earth have the peace of mind that comes from our location.
The Israeli people have had to regularly run to bomb shelters in their neighborhoods and hunker down to be safe for their entire lives...its amazing that they show the restraint which they do when attacking the enemy. I highly doubt that we would. People who have had to live in fear for their entire lives from rockets and missiles raining down on their homes, schools, churches and supermarkets could easily and understandably have short fuses and little to no mercy. This hasnt been the case though...in fact, Israel does more to avoid civilian casualties with their attacks than anyone I know of when at war. Despite the holocaust, the 6 day war, and countless other attempts to eradicate the Jewish people and their country. It's actually remarkable.
