Iran, a Shia country, financing a Sunni group in Gaza... that's what they're saying?

The propaganda is strong.

Yea..the US would never give money to enemy, as you proclaim. Guess it could be propoganda, but

According to Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority, "Hamas is funded by Iran. ... Iran also supplies Hamas with military weaponry.

'Difficult to believe': The Associated Press is slammed for saying it was unaware of Hamas intel operation in their building that Israel razed to the ground: Report from 2014 claims They Knew Terrorists Were There

  • The Associated Press CEO Gary Pruitt condemned the bombing and claimed not to have known Hamas was in the building
  • But in a newly-unearthed 2014 report, journalist Matti Freidman wrote that Hamas' presence was common knowledge
  • 'The AP staff in Gaza City would witness a rocket launch right beside their office, endangering reporters and other civilians nearby'
  • 'Hamas fighters would burst into the AP's Gaza bureau and threaten the staff—and the AP wouldn't report it'
The Associated Press has been accused of lying about whether it knew Hamas maintained a military presence in its Gaza headquarters.

Israeli forces destroyed Jala Tower which had been the AP's headquarters in the Palestinian territory for 15 years, and was also where Al Jazeera was based.

AP President and CEO Gary Pruitt said in a statement that he was 'shocked and horrified that the Israeli military would target and destroy the building housing AP's bureau and other news organizations in Gaza.' He also claimed that the AP didn't know that Hamas was 'active in the building.'

But a 2014 report in The Atlantic written by journalist Matti Freidman suggested Associated Press were well aware of Hamas's presence in the building - and chose not to report it.

'When Hamas's leaders surveyed their assets before this summer's round of fighting, they knew that among those assets was the international press,' the article states, referring to an outbreak of fighting that year.

Damn. That's a kick in APs balls.

WATCH — Tom Cotton: ‘Why Was the Associated Press Sharing a Building with Hamas?’

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) slammed the Associated Press (AP) on Tuesday for allegedly sharing a building with the Palestinian Hamas terrorist organization.

As Breitbart News reported on Saturday, Israel destroyed the Jala Tower in Gaza, which housed several international organizations — and also, allegedly, facilities used by Hamas.

There was an outcry from press freedom organizations, and the Biden administration — but Israel has since provided intelligence to the U.S. that, Israel says, shows Hamas was indeed using the building.

Cotton spoke on the Senate floor on Tuesday, criticizing the AP for its apparent coziness with the terrorist group.

He then asked: “Why was the Associated Press sharing a building with Hamas in the first place? Did it knowingly allow its journalists to be used as human shields by a U.S.-designated terrorist organization? Did the AP pull its punches and decline to report for years on Hamas’s misdeeds?”

If AP really didn’t know it shared space with Hamas, why trust its reporting?

After an Israeli airstrike Saturday destroyed a high-rise office tower on the Gaza Strip, the Associated Press, which had offices there for 15 years, complained, claiming it had no idea the building was also home to Hamas.

If it’s true that AP was so unaware — and the evidence suggests it’s unlikely — how can anyone trust its reporting in the region?

AP Hires Anti-Israel Activist as News Associate

AP's objectivity in question amid revelations it shared office space with Hamas

GettyImages-1717050.jpg

The Associated Press's latest hire is an anti-Israel activist who accused Israel of "ethnic cleansing," called the late Jewish donor Sheldon Adelson a "naked mole rat," and helped organize protests against Jewish students traveling to Israel on the Birthright program.

Emily Wilder, who previously worked for the Arizona Republic, announced on Twitter that she would join the AP this month as a news associate, according to a screenshot of her tweet posted by the Stanford College Republicans. Wilder has since set her Twitter account to private.

The hire could fuel concerns about the AP's objectivity amid revelations that the news outlet shared an office building with Hamas military intelligence in Gaza. The headquarters was demolished in a targeted Israeli airstrike on Saturday.

Before joining the AP, Wilder co-led the Students for Justice in Palestine group at Stanford University, where she hosted a 2019 speech by cartoonist Eli Valley, whose anti-Israel drawings often depict Nazi imagery and offensive caricatures of Jews. The speech drew national attention after Wilder's group papered over posters from a Republican student group with Valley cartoons that were criticized as "largely indistinguishable from classic Nazi Jew-hatred."
