What if the plane attacks on buildings are a by-product of our entangling alliance with Israel (that benefits you in no way). Would you care then?

the IRA never attacked the US because of our alliance with England

I think allowing OBL to get away with that weak justification for 911 is intellectually lazy at best

But we never messed around with Ireland. When it comes to Israel, we are a very active ally. We're all over the ME, and have been for 50 years.

I don't consider it to be a justification for OBL. I consider it to be information essential to selecting the most beneficial foreign policy for the future.

why single out the US then? Every western power has been meddling in the Middle East, some for centuries

We aren't the only western country who has been attacked by terrorists. We do get singled out and it's because we are much more actively threatening their sovereignty than anybody else. Our CIA created a coup in Iran 50 years ago, and we've been doing similar stuff ever since. Iran hated the leader we installed, and he was in power like 20 years. Not surprisingly, they blame us.

If Iran wants a nuclear bomb, who cares! Just give them one. We'll trade 10,000 oil wells for 1 nuclear bomb. Where would you like us to drop it off?

Iran would be a different place today if Obama had gotten behind the anti-government protests in 2009.
