I don't believe it because this season hasn't even started and AD Hart would go after someone much better than TT if he was going to replace CDD which he has ZERO thoughts of doing.

If you honestly believe that UT hasn't done some preliminary work in case Sh*t hits the fan this season, you are in a great deal of denial. College programs, especially SEC ones, think well beyond the current year. They have to to cover their bases.

Also, take a gander at Tuberville's record. Except for his last year at Auburn, he was a damn good coach. To say we could get a better coach is a bit of a stretch, as well.

He's coached in the SEC at a high level before. That in itself is appealing enough to at the least spark some interest with the UT brass.

AD Hart is simply NOT looking at or talking to any football coaches at this point.

You're simply spreading BS rumors and engaging in wishful thinking so have your fun kid but until this season is finished then CDD isn't going anywhere.

AD Hart loves the CDD rebuilding plan and he IS seeing results and is smart enough to know that UT simply can NOT afford the huge buyout of the CDD contract or the huge money it will take to try and get a big name coach to come to Tennessee because we simply can NOT afford it.

I didn't say it was going to happen. I didn't even say it was likely to happen. I'm sure Hart loves CDD and his "rebuilding" plan. I even love Coach Dooley. What I said was that Tuberville had been contacted. I would love to see Dooley stay. But if he doesn't win, he's gone. You know this. And UT isn't going to wait around and not take precautions in case this does happen.

But please tell me, just what "results" are we/AD Hart seeing? When you boil it all down, Dooley's job hinges on how many wins he gets. You can be a nice guy, you can create wonderful programs to aid and mentor the kids, you can say all the right things to the media...but at the end of the day, Dooley AND Hart's jobs rely on wins.

I'm not spreading rumors. Why would I throw his name out there if I didn't know that it happened? If anyone is delusional here, it is you.

I hope you're not going by what you heard on Finebaum. That doesn't count as a legitmate source and e-cred would be greatly reduced.

I apologize if I've offended anyone by my comment. I was simply trying to relay some information that was of some relevance that I felt like was from a reputable source.

I don't have any "insider" sources in the UT ranks and have never claimed to have any. I keep my mouth shut for the most part. I don't post unless I feel like I have something valuable (in the true sense of the word) to contribute. In this case, I was told something that I felt was pretty interesting and I relayed that information.

Seeing as I have less than 20 posts and I have been with Volnation for over a year and am already getting bashed for bringing something to the table, it seems I should stick to just being a reader.

AD Hart is not a moron and he would be a 100% total moron to be talking to any football coach about replacing CDD even before fall practice has started much less before the 3rd game of the season has been played.

Some people just seem to want to post anything around here just to get attention IMO.

Unless we have a total meltdown and only Win 5 or 6 games then CDD will NOT be going anywhere until after the 2013 season despite what all the CDD haters want to see.

CDD doesn't even have a full players roster yet and we still have open scholarships to be filled so maybe some people would at least let CDD get HIS recruits filled since he only has 2 recruiting classes of his own on campus and they're Sophs and true freshmen that just got to campus.

This is only the beginning of year 3 of a 4 to 5 year total rebuilding task despite what the CDD haters want to believe.

We were the number 1 worst football program and the biggest disaster in college football when CDD took on this task and that's the reality of the situation.

This is the 1st year we could even dream of seeing any small results other than less arrests and decent recruiting which CDD has done a decent job of so far.

I expect 7 or 8 Wins this season and anything else will be a disappointment but I won't seriously overexpect by saying we should expect 9 or 10 Wins like alot of people are hoping for.

I hope we Win every game every year but that's just not reality despite my wanting to see another crystal football coming to Tennessee before I die.

CDD & staff are our coaches and the players on campus are our team and I'll support them all as long as they wear Orange and represent Tennessee football.

Bro, the bulk of this thread has been reserved for positivity and feel good humor regarding this season. Anything that goes against that train of thought (in this thread), has been attacked. If you had read any of my posts on the whole, I am sarcastic/joking 90 percent of the time.

There are proper channels for posting info. Don't be so sensitive :p

Unfortunately, Titan, some believe we should throw our orange jocks on the field and win. We have had a CUSA roster for the past 3 years and were expected to win in the SEC by the dreamers.

This year our roster has improved, but it is still a year or 2 away from the top tier. DD's recruiting prowess, even with the lousy record, is building an SEC roster. It remains to be seen if he can be a big winner, but we will know in a year or so.

Did TT say if he'd be interested or not? If he's just been contacted and had no interest, there's no reason to get concerned about it being posted on a forum.
