It looks like the 2014 NIT Tournament is an SEC party

Don't get me wrong, the guy will be playing pro ball somewhere. Seriously, if you were in a "pick up" game some place, you'd prefer to have him on YOUR team rather than play against him. He COMPETES hard whether you like him or not.

I would't touch him with a 10 foot pole if i was an NBA franchise, but I know that teams overseas would salivate over a guy like him.

They didn't get shut out, they turned it down. 24-9 teams aren't getting shut out of postseason altogether.

Makes sense. Indiana also turned down a bid

Although I get it's tough for the seniors not to play again, in way it's kind of nice to see these teams have some standards. Personally I think both of these new tournaments are a joke, not to mention at least one of them the host team has to actually pay to participate. It's so bad they're getting teams with losing records to play. Fans obviously don't care; Eastern Michigan won last night in front of less than 400 fans.

I guess technically it was right to take the other 4 since they all technically finished better in the SEC, but I'm guessing there must be some cap of bigger conference teams they will take.

I know they changed it so that a regular season conference winner has to be invited if they get left out of the NCAAT because they didn't win their tournament.

They have been taking the regular season champions for years. The new change was that all other bids are now based on the RPI.
