It seemed like Milton helped the offense more than ever.

I thought we should have ran more all season. It seemed like with hooker with the coaches call would call him to pass pass pass. Tonight it seemed to start off like that. Milton stretched it out with just madden drunk bombs. Of course he could have hit some but it’s sloppy conditions with your best WRs out. Still think he has amazing potential.
Then the stretch led to a heavy run game. Should we have been a heavy run game to begin with? Yes it a lot of ways. I still think we should run more and not just on second down.

What did you watch? Milton looked like Milton from last year. The run game was a result of having to run because we couldn't complete passes.

Milton only needed to take care of the ball, make some plays and chuck it deep……..didn’t matter if they connected or not (been nice if they had) the chucking will open things up.

Milton did what he needed to do.

Run game was great
Defense was fantastic

Game plan was also fantastic

Great win amazing season!!!!!

I think Milton is popular with the team and that also helps the cause. The players play hard for him. He really needs to work on his accuracy (I also wish we utilized more short/medium passes with him).
Why we don’t throw over the middle more is beyond me especially with him in there. He seems really comfortable throwing slants and crosses and can fit them into tight windows with his arm strength.

I think golesh just wants to run Hail Mary. But we need to run the ball with our oline and rbs

Milton will be starting QB game 1 next year. Will have a Hendon Hooker season? Probably not. But I think we can still win a lot of games with him.
Will he be the QB1 at the end of the season though. I sure hope not and I do not want him to be injured either.

We didn't need to change anything about the game and how the offense was called. 49 offensive points tells the tale. It cracks me up to see a ton of people in the game thread complaining about play calling while the offense is dominating.

362 rushing to 151 passing. Milton was less than 50%. Most of Milton's 147 passing cam in the first half. Yes, the play calls changed because we couldn't complete passes.

Never said anything about changing the whole game plan but exchanging some of the many deep balls for some throws over the middle that your qb is better at would be good for Milton to get a rhythm which helps him going forward.

wow you people are ***** delusional. The team responded very well to Milton. Yes he missed passes but he also hit a few. Can he get better yes. So can all of his teammates. The wind was blowing 15 to 20 and it poured rain. Yes take away some of the deep routes and only call them at times. He needs the routes managed. The run game was going to be forced all along. We run the ball more than pass all season... What season did you watch ? The team rallied around Milton which is a great thing.

exactly. And to the point of I think we should run more anyways. And I think Joe will hit a lot of those throws in a dry no wind field. But we should still run

He missed Fant wide open on a seam up the middle. Same pass he airmailed last year vs Pitt up the middle.

It seems pretty obvious why they don’t throw it over the middle with Milton so I don’t understand what you don’t get.

He missed a few???? he was less than 50%. He can get better???? Can he? He has had many opportunities to prove that and hasn't yet. Tough to throw in the wind. He overthrew our WRs throwing into the wind. I don't think arm strength in the wind was an issue for Milton. He had several issues but the wind wasn't it.

He was overthrowing into the wind - not underthrowing. That doesn't add up well for your wind theory.

they chuck it deep because it’s a safe pass. Those will open up the run game which will allow the run game to gap the D later in games……..and it usually works.

Did it more so today because no Hooker/had Milton.

Milton still has issues with putting touch on passes. That needs to get fixed because we won’t win against the big boys with overthrowing on 8 out of every 10 passes beyond 15 yards downfield.

The defense played better and the running game was on point . . . But it’s Vanderbilt. Thank goodness we didn’t replay 2016 again.

That loss against South Carolina was so inexcusable, though. Tonight doesn’t come close to erasing it. Now we get to hear the stupid crap about “Beamer Ball” over and over and listen to Beamer and Rattler run their mouths. If you’re listening to the SEC post game commentary, that’s all they’re covering right now. Nobody cares that we curb-stomped a Vandy team that had won 2 SEC games in a row.

That fool Beamer just said that the playoff committee should just ask him about the teams because he came out pretty good against us and Clemson. THAT’s what our team handed that idiot on a silver platter with that massive choke last week.

I hope our guys watch that footage and use it to get ticked off and ready for the bowl game and next season.
