Why? It might not help to fire him now but at this point can it hurt us? All his recruits know he is gone. Let's remove all doubt.

According to Skeeter he is done but the announcement will not come until our bowl fate is sealed one way or another.

Personally I have seen skeeter more wrong than right in my 4 years at volnation. What did he do to gain such credibility? Just curious. Sorry to who this will offend for whatever reason.

Really for sure...at this point, it is just inhumane. Hart, pull the plug already and put poor Derek out of his misery

It will happen soon enough. Nothing to be gained by pulling the trigger before season ends unless you have homerun hire to introduce at the same press conference.

Screw a bowl. No interest in going. Fire this guy now and get a new coach in position by the bowl games.

If not, then we need to start considering if Hart should go with him.

This is bull****!

What does waiting do for us? Does Hart actually think the players will revolt in support of a career losing head coach? Is it worth hurting recruiting to keep the man "in good standing" when everyone in the country knows where all this leads? You can bet every team recruiting against us is using Hart's silence to their advantage. "Look at Dooley's defense, you don't want to get into that mess". Until Hart says he is gone, some people will question if this mess of a coach will be back. END IT NOW. Let him finish the year, I don't care. Let the recruits and the current players know NOW there will be a better man leading this team next year. You don't have to name him now. ANY coach will be an improvement.

Can a University fire an injured coach? Dooley is the type of person that would sue UT for everything it has.

Maybe Hart's still suffering from the hangover he got from drinking himself silly (one bottle of Johnny Walker Black, one bottle of Johnny Walker Red, one bottle of Canadian Mist, three bottles of Jack Daniels # 7, and a twelve-pack of Pabst) after watching Dooley's coaching incompetence cost UT another loss. Its really difficult to wake up and think straight with such a hangover. Maybe he'll be over it in time for a noon presser on Monday.

I'm guessing the 18th is when the public announcement will be made. Never know, we could beat vandy...

What I don't understand is how Dooley can almost beat a really good lsu team with a rag tag group, and be this bad with all this talent.

No, it will two separate press conferences. That would be tacky!

We need to stay classy

Dooley's weekly press conference is at noon on monday. IF something is going to be announced publicly this week, it will certainly be by or at noon on monday. If this goes past noon tomorrow, then it will be after Vandy at the earliest.
I am not hearing ANYONE in any position of "knowledge" that says he has ANY chance of saving his job at this point. It is over. Its just a matter of when they go public with it.
The timing could also have something to do with who they are looking at for a replacement. Hamilton botched Fulmer's departure. Don't look for Hart to make the same mistake. For that reason, my take is they wait at least till after Vandy (if we lose) and after Ky (if we beat Vandy), unless we have our guy in place by next sunday--which is not likely as except for one or two candidates (one longshot and one a big risk), they are all still coaching and not likely to make a commitment till the end of their regular season.......

Cripes, I haven't drunk PBR since I left college and began earning $$$, Hart may be a Stella or a Heineken or a Guinness man but doubtfully a PBR or Bud man. And he could easily be a JW Blue man.:salute:
