It's 5 AM and I'm still baffled...

Maybe I am wrong. I envisioned this team as a run and gun team. I was hoping we would use our depth on the perimeter and open the floor to wear other teams down. Last night Stokes thrived when we opened up the game with his rebounding.
Why Moore is not playing is a mystery to me. Hubbs and others seem scared to make a mistake because they will soon find themselves on the bench. We have no rhyme or reason in our substitution pattern and after three years of coaching our offense cannot adjust to changing defenses. When we went to our zone UTEP ate it up without having to call a timeout.
More concerning than all of the above is the lack of passion and fire from the team and coaches. Where is the urgency and hustle? If McRae had turned pro, we would possibly be winless this year.

Wait till next year - if u think this is bad

What was Mike Hamilton thinking. Probably about his $1,000,000 exit clause. I want to work for UT because you can be a failure at your job and still make a mill when your fired

Don't think you can blame Hamilton for this one. It was the search committee, Jimmy Cheek, and Joan Cronan. Hamilton had already announced that he was leaving and not really involved.

That Armani Moore played two minutes the entire game.

Am I missing something? Can the staff not realize good things happen when he plays?

I've decided that we have one of the worst coaches in the league. I'm not shocked he wasn't in the game just like I'm not shocked we really didn't adjust to the way they played after halftime. We play and get out coached like we did last night and we're going to get rocked today.

The little " behind the scenes" they did at one of Cuonzo's practices that was aired right before the game told me all I need to know about why we play like an "uncoached" basketball team. Compare that to the one they did on Tim Floyd and it all becomes clear now.

That was really Pathetic. Now I see why this team looks like it does. He sits during the game and actually does a walk through practice. What a joke.

I honestly just can not believe how bad we played last night. this is going to be a rough season to say the least if some major adjustment does not occur. CCM needs to go

Went to bed pissed off and just woke up and the first thing that came to me was, we really did just lose to UTEP. Not the University of TEXAS, not Texas A&M, not Texas Tech but Texas of El Paso! Say that a few times and let it register. I'm still just as mad as I was last night. Wow

Don't let get you down too much. Remember, UTEP has an NCAA championship banner (which is more than can be said about UT) from their days as Texas Western when they beat "Rupp's Runts".

If Martin is as bla zay in the locker room & in practice as he is in an interview I can see why we aren't pumped & motivated. He would bore a dead person!

Armani came in last night. And he got the ball at the wing, and he waited a second and drove the basket. He does that all the time, and thats exactly how it's supposed to look when those guys get the ball there. He ended up missing the shot, but I thought it was one of the best looks of the night. He misses one shot and Cuonzo takes him out. Maymon throws up 10 shots he may as well have been shooting with his eyes closed and he gets 27 minutes. I don't get it man, I don't get it.

"yeah, yeah, yeah. Just cut across, look for the pass, and then go for the layup. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's good. That's good." He said that exact sentance like 5 times in a row, and then tried to execute it and it looked about 10 times worse than what the players are doing. "yeah, yeah, yeah, just get the ball to stokes. That's all the matters, get him the ball. Even if he didn't score, it's a good possesion, because Stokes was able to get the basketball. Yeah, yeah ,yeah. That's good."

I have defended CCM the whole way. Until now. I am not a great basketball mind, so I try not to say too much, but it's almost like a random selection of players each night. I don't get the lineup at all. It seems like CCM only performs when his back is against the wall. Big margin, he presses and goes uptempo, losing record, he goes on a run in February. I don't get it. There is no excuse for this, no defense for this at all. I have always rolled my eyes at those who pointed out his lack of fire on the bench, but I now think it really is a factor. Watching last night was beyond frustrating. It's almost like he thinks he has a 10 year guarantee. I still think he gets year 4 barring an epic collapse.

Bruce isn't coming back and I really hope CCM works out, but if not, Gregg Marshall has been a top name on my list since 2001, and still is.

He has his starters. And then he does a raffle on the sideline, spins the cylinder around, pulls out a name, and then your up. He probably puts in a few more of your name if you hadn't played the previous game. Why else is chievous playing?

Please. PLEASE, don't remind me. That thought when through my head last night, and I had to take some pills. No McCrae, no Stokes, no Maymon, no Barton. Keep this thought out of peoples heads until end of the season when we lose to Louisiana Lafayette in the NIT first round.

They don't have a very good coach, either. They do, however, have a great reputation to build from.

They far exceeded my expectations last year. I didn't know what to expect because they were very young. I don't know how someone can say Warlick is bad after year one.

NIT? Temper those expectations buddy :)

Yup, just as I suspected.....a moron.

You don't pick Paul Schafer to replace Dave Letterman and she has not been particularly impressive when it comes to playing teams of equal talent. She has Final Four talent, mostly due to the name built by her predecessor, but, in all probability won't sniff Nashville.

By the way, this "moron" has been right about nearly everything from the get go on the basketball side, including saying it was a shaky call on hiring Martin and the idea that we should run a four guard set that people were so aghast at two weeks ago yet coming around to now.

So, yeah, moron. Geniuses everywhere today, good grief.

Also, what the hell would a timeout with 22secs left at the end of the game possibly do? Idiotic time to call one, my brother and me almost threw the couch through the window!
